Perrie Edwards

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
<<That's why I like you ;)>>

[Monday.]
'I think he likes you. Like, proper likes you!'
Perrie had shown her best friend Jade the massages between her and Alex a few days before.
'I don't know, I really don't think he does. He's probably just after one thing, which he's definitely not gonna get from me! And he's annoying...'
'...and he's hot. Oh c'mon, you like him too!'
'I'm attracted to him, yes, but I could never be with someone like him. Nor I think he would ever want to be with someone like me.'
'What about Christian?'
Perrie pouted. 'I saw him yesterday. I wanted to talk to him but I just couldn't do it. He's so sweet, and the way he looks at me. I left it too late, now I'm gonna be stuck with him, in this situation forever.'
'Dramatic much, babe?! Just tell him you don't feel the same, I'm sure he'd rather know now than keep on wasting his time.'
'I know, but I'm a lover, not a fighter! I could not bare the look on his face whilst having his heart broken.'
The girls laughed whilst both their phones went off.

Leigh-Anne
<<My sister is taking us to a party near the lake! Be ready for 9 ;)>>

'Absolutely not.'
'Oh dad, c'mon! All my friends are going.'
'And why should that make me change my mind?'
Perrie sighed, already convinced her dad wouldn't let her go. Jade, on the other hand, didn't give up. 'Leigh-Anne's sister is coming with us. Maybe Jonnie's coming too?'
Perrie's eyes lit up thinking that Jade was a genius. Jonnie and Leigh's sister had always been friends, and that's how Perrie and Jade got to know Leigh-Anne in the first place.
Perrie immediately texted her brother, then started to patiently wait for a reply. 'If Jonnie comes too, an I allowed to go, dad?'
'Your brother is not exactly as trustworthy as you'd like to think, but he would never let anything happen to you.'
'It's a party dad, nothing's gonna happen anyway, but I'm not gonna argue with you. So, if Jonnie comes, can I go?'
'I guess. But it's home before midnight.'
Perrie and Jade smiled excitedly at each other. 'Don't worry Mr. Edwards, I'll make sure Cinderella's at home safe and sound at 11.59!'

[At the party.]
'I'm so glad your dad let you come.'
'As if Jonnie is going to pay any attention to me whatsoever. But if it makes dad happy...'
'Exactly. Shall we get a drink?'
'Can we wait a moment?' Jesy looked at her phone. 'Darren told me they're almost here.'
'Of course we can wait for your lover, Jes. Is he coming with his friends?'
'Yes, he's coming with Alfie and Christian. Chris's brother is giving them a lift. Didn't he tell you, Pez?'
Perrie was really surprised. She felt a weird feeling inside her tummy at the idea of seeing Alex.
'No, we didn't talk much today.'
Just then, Darren and Christian arrived, followed by Alex and a couple of his friends. Perrie couldn't help but take in every little detail about Alex, almost forgetting about Christian standing right there next to her. 'Hey. I was hoping to see you here.'
'Hey stranger. You could've told me you were coming.'
'Yeah, sorry, it was a last minute decision. Alex wasn't to keen on taking his little brother with him to a party, you know.'
'I know exactly the feeling. I'm here with my brother too.'
Christian looked around, worried. Perrie found it funny. 'Relax, Jonnie won't even notice I'm here talking to you.'
The night went pretty quickly: the girls had an amazing time with her friends, drinking and dancing the whole time.
'I really need the toilet, who's coming with me?' Jade called.
'I'll come babe.' Perrie and Jade walked towards the toilets, walking through different groups of people, until Perrie noticed something, or better, someone.
'Oh Pez, why did you stop? I'm about to wee myself.'
Jade looked back seeing Perrie trying to sneakily look at someone.
'Come here Jade, look.' The girls saw Alex and his friends. Alex was smoking, laughing with his mates and a couple of girls. One of the girls was standing really close to Alex, running her hands through his arms and chest over the fitted black top he was wearing. Alex then put an arm over her shoulder, so she rested her head on him.
Jade looked at her friend, not really knowing what to say. 'Are you alright?'
Perrie tried not to show her disappointment. 'Yeah, of course. I told you, I don't like him anyway. And I knew he could have never take an interest in a girl like me. I mean... look at her!'
The girls walked back to their friends, then Leigh-Anne looked at the time. 'My sister's taking us home in ten minutes girls.'
Christian then whispered to Perrie. 'Can I talk to you for a second, before you go?'
The two moved to a quieter place.
'I know this is probably not the best time, and I'm a bit drunk. But I just wanted to know... what are we.'
'What do you mean?'
'I mean that I really like spending time with you, and I really like you, Perrie. I want to know if it's the same for you.'
Perrie, who couldn't stop thinking about Alex and that girl, was caught by surprise. She tried to quickly think of something to say. She knew deep down that she didn't feel the same way, but maybe it was just because she was too busy thinking of someone else? Maybe giving Christian a chance, a real one, would have help her forgetting about Alex.
'I do, Christian. The more I get to know you, the happier I feel. You're so sweet, and kind, and caring...'
The two got closer and closer until their lips locked into each other. Once they let go, they looked at each other in the eyes and smiled.
'Right Cinderella, better get you home.'
