VIII. Planning

KENZIE'S POV

I woke up from my nap about 2 hours later. I opened my eyes and looked around my room while i started to sit up. Suddenly Johnny came running in and jumped on my bed
"JOHNNY WHAT THE HELL GET OFF" I screamed pushing his legs away, causing him to fall off the bed and onto the floor
"Ow"
He stayed laying on the floor and put his hands behind his head
"I just wanted to plan the party with you geez" he said picking up a fallen cushion and throwing it at me
"HUH YOU DID NOT JUST THROW THAT AT ME" I yelled getting onto my knees and throwing it back at him
I quickly picked up my pillow to use as defence for when Johnny would throw the cushion back
Long story short we had a pillow fight.
"YOU KNOW THIS IS A REALLY GIRLY THING RIGHT" I yelled, hitting him in the torso with my pillow

"YEAH BUT ITS FUN" he replied, throwing a cushion back at me
We were on the bed, stood up and just hitting each other
I guess I was having some fun, I thought
"OHHH YOUR GOING TO PAY FOR THAT" Johnny chuckled, tackling me at the legs, making me fall onto the floor. No way in hell was I going to let him get away with that, so I grabbed his wrist on the way down and he toppled on top of me
We were both now laying on the floor, Johnny hovering over me. Johnny and I burst out laughing and didn't really realise the type of situation we were in until Johnny went quiet, I looked up and he was looking to my eyes.
We layed there in silence for what felt like forever, just staring at each other.
Johnny began leaning in, exchanging looks between my eyes and my lips
Shit hes going to kiss me!
I haven't had my first kiss I can't let this happen with him oh no!
What do I do?! Think Kenzie!
He was centimetres away from my lips when I reached my hand out, found a pillow and hit him on the head, while laughing. He got up with a smirk and said
"Can't believe you did that to me" he said pouting

"Sorry but we have a party to plan" I sighed

"Fineeee right when should we have it?" He asked me

"Ummm like 9? Then everyone can leave like midnight or something?" I suggested

"Yeah good idea. Ill invite everyone now" he responded getting his phone out and scrolling through his contacts

"W-what? Who's everyone?" I asked stuttering

"What do you mean?" He laughed
"I'm inviting everyone" he stated again looking at me confused

"Everyone? B-but that's a lot of...people"

"Yeah...is that a problem?" He chuckled, shifting closer to me on the bed

"I-i just didn't think you wanted people to know about...my job? A-and I'm a bit nervous to be around all those people" I told him looking down

"Pffft nah! I don't care anymore. Plus the biggest gossip in the world, Brynn already knows!" He huffed

I zoned out, focusing on his eyes. I'd never fully realised before but his eyes were really green! I don't think I've ever seen any that green before.
My eyes wandered  down his face, he had a great jaw line, I'll tell you that! I fixated on his chest and torso. Damn you could see the outline of his abs through his shirt. If I could just lean over and touch-
NO. STOP IT. HES AN IDIOT AND YOU HATE HIM
"Kenzie?"

"HUH WHAT" I yelled coming back to reality with Johnny waving his hand Infront of my face

"Are you alright? You started day dreaming or something" Johnny chuckled

I could feel my cheeks burn up and turn to a reddish pink colour. Shit I was blushing this is so embarrassing and-
"KENZ"

"what?!" I whined

"God woman! You zoned out again" he laughed, falling back onto the bed

"What are you even thinking about?!" he added

"Uhm..." I gulped. He can't find out I was almost checking him out!
"I was just worried about meeting everyone tonight" I sighed looking down
Good cover up Kenz. Now he thinks your a sad loser! Thumbs up to you!

"Hey! Don't worry I'll be there" he said putting an arm around my shoulder and smiling

"Thanks" I lightly laughed
"Right! I need to get dressed so out you go!" I huffed

I pushed him into standing up and he toppled forward a little
"AHH"

"Ooops sorry!" I joked
He rolled his eyes and then left my room, shutting the door
