The school day was as slower than usual but I managed to get Rhy into class before the mine began. Turns out she didn't need his essay too and just enrolled him because he's a Marker too.

The teacher had just stepped out for a moment claiming he had a call to attend to and yet his phone hadn't rang at all.

I just figured he scheduled a call.

"Hey Kitten."

Oh no...

"Of all the couple names you thought of you decided to give me kitten?" I asked as I glanced over my shoulder at Ash who was smiling.

"It suits you." He chuckled as he stood up and carried his chair, sitting next to me. "Be honest it does."

"I'm a human being. Not an animal in logical terms." I said and he rolled his eyes as he reached out and held my hand on my desk.

"I don't feel so good. We haven't kissed since morning." He whined and I couldn't help to roll my eyes at him.

"Tell me when you're in a comma." I chuckled and snatched my hand from him to which he frowned to.

"I'm serious." He said and I stared at him for a moment before glancing down at my fingers.

Why is he so weird...

"I can tell you're so uncomfortable." He chuckled lightly then glanced around. "Maybe because we're in class. It's fine anyway. I'll kiss you where no one can see us."

"You say it so flatly that it's so uncomfortable for me." I said and he smirked only to frown when we spotted Roman walking towards us with a glare directed mostly to me.

"Hi, Riley." Roman greeted but I could tell it was just to emphasize a point he wanted to make. "Ash."

"Look, she-"

"I don't even want to hear it Ash." He sighed out then folded his arms across his chest as he stared down at me.

"We're dating." Ash pointed it out and to say that Roman was horrified was an understatement. "So you can stop obsessing on erasing her from my mind."

"Dating?" He asked with a fake laugh. "You'd date someone like her after what she did?"

"I also stabbed her in the back, with two girls. I think it's fair." Ash defended as I stared at Roman who clenched his jaw tightly.

"If you feel fine with that. I won't do anything." He sighed out but still had his eyes boring through my skull. "But if she ends up hurting you, don't tell me about it." With that, he walked away from us, finally giving me enough space to breath.

"He doesn't like you. I'm sorry." Ash apologized and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I noticed the first time we met at the cinema." I chuckled forcedly. "It almost felt like I torture you."

"Don't think that way." He smiled at me and snaked his arm around my neck, bringing me to him. "He'll get over it."

I hope.

He kissed the top of my head and moved back to his desk just as the teacher walked back in, apologizing for leaving.

The bell rang and I was finally able to stretch out my arms all around and enjoy the blazing sun just after a gym class workout.

It wasn't so tough on me but the rest seemed pretty worn out.

It didn't matter. We were going home.

"So is it true, Riley?" Sarah asked for the hundredth time as we walked to the locker room. "That you and Ash are dating?"

"Yes." I confirmed and she screamed in excitement.

"That's so cute." She sighed out.

"Now you can flirt with Peter freely." I chuckled and she simply smiled only to frown a few seconds later.

"Well he hasn't been talking after I told him that I thought you two were dating." She sighed out as we ventured for the showers once we were in the locker room. "He must have really liked you."

"Well I couldn't accept him." I sighed as I took my clothes off. "I felt more connected to Ash."

"Do you love Ash?" Sarah asked and I paused for a moment then stared at her.

"I do." I said, knowing too well a few ears of the other girls were wide open. If I could say something wrong, they would twist and report it.

"Mm-hm." She nodded as we showered.

Once we were through, we hurried into our clothes and rushed out of the shower so we weren't late to get a ride from Ash.

Of course he wouldn't leave me either way. Though, I need to keep my time in check all the time.

We walked into the corridor only to spot Peter, Ash, a teacher and Rhy. The teacher seemed to be yelling mostly at Ash and Rhy didn't seem to be part of it. He probably recognised Ash and followed him.

As we got closer, the teacher left without even noticing us. Ash sort of glared at Peter before finally noticing me and Sarah.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I pointed at the teacher that had passed us some moments ago.

"I got detention." He sighed out in boredom as he stared down at me. "I'll be leaving four hours from now."

"Oh wow." I chuckled and placed my hands on my hips. "Why did you get detention?"

"Peter." He said with a frown and I nodded slowly. "He kept telling me I wasn't good enough for you so I guess I got angry and punched him." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "The teacher happened to be passing then."

"Your mother will bail you out." I suggested and he shook his head.

"The teachers complained about it last year when I couldn't get attention so in order to let things flow without a riot, she told them I could get detentions-"

"Mr Briton!" The teacher yelled behind us and I chuckled a bit.

"So fvcking annoying." He whispered down at me and I smiled with a small nod. "I guess I'll see you... I don't know, tomorrow?"

"I can wait." I offered and his eyes went wide.

"You'll wait for me?" He asked with a wide smile on his face.

"I can." I smiled slightly. "I'll be in the library when you get out."

"My kitten." He cooed as he reached out and grabbed my shoulders. "Don't worry, your waiting won't go in vain. I'll kiss you until you lose consciousness."

"Wow! That sounds terrifying." I protested as he let go and laughed while he walked to the angered teacher.

"See you in four hours, Love." He said and I nodded with a small smile before he disappeared through the door the teacher had been standing on.

"I honestly thought it was a lie." Peter said behind me and I turned to face him only to nearly gag at his dark gloomy expression. He didn't look alive like before, as though a void had swallowed him for days.

His natural curls had become loose than usual, his eyes lost their colour and his looked thinner than usual. Though he didn't really shade anything.

"You know I had to." I said as I stared at him. "He's really happy."

"What about me?" He asked and I clenched my jaw as I glanced at the ground. "And what about you?"

"I like Ash, Peter. That's it. Don't make this hard for me. Please." I sighed out and turned for the exit. "If you please, I have a library to attend to."
