The sound of an unfamiliar car horn filled my ears and I couldn't feel more nervous as I thought of the paparazzi, news reporters and all the cameras that will be aimed at my face.
I was going to see Adrien Hawks. A famous worldwide genius.
"Done." My mother smiled as she had finished test another master piece and it was a flawless, hair down and slightly jeweled hairstyle. Exquisite taste for a fancy dinner out and not to brag but she does have talent on hair styling. "Hurry up and wear your shoes. Your father will be angry if you delayed Adrien."
"Yes." I sighed and pulled my newly bought heels on.
Black marble heels with a golden melted universal pattern with slight dark blue here and there. A few stars scattered about but enough not to make it actually glimmer.
I checked my attire in the mirror once more, from my excruciatingly waist tight pencil dress to my hair and heels.
I wasn't going to be able to breath properly for the next hours I'm with Adrien.
Rushing down the stairs was a bit of a challenge that I had to deal with alone and my father wouldn't care less if the dress was going to be okay either way.
His pride was on the line for him.
I walked into the living room with my mother where my eyes instantly fell on Adrien.
Just like his photos, he was much taller than I anticipated, but his face wasn't photoshoped on the posts. It was in fact the exact way I saw it.
His eyes glanced my way like a magnet drawn to metal. A smile creped onto his face and I wasn't sure if that was creepy or charming. Something about him seemed deadly off.
He stood up from the seat and I was corrected.
He wasn't as tall as I anticipated. But he was in fact as tall as Peter, and Peter was taller than Ash who was in fact taller than I was.
Why is my life filled with tall people?
"Riley Dove Monica Marker." He grinned as he walked to me. "It's an honor to finally meet you."
"Oh. Alright." I furrowed my brows at him a bit. "It's an honor to meet you too. I never get to meet many celebrities. Especially the ones I actually fangirl about."
"Oh, I'm a person of interest." He smirked and I frowned at how dirty the look in his eyes became. "I like that."
"We'll set you off and enjoy your evening." My father said as he stood up and smiled down at me. "Hope you have a pleasant night."
"Thank you." Adrien smiled and turned his eyes back to me as he held out his hand. "May I?" I didn't say a thing except circle my arm around his and have him lead me out of the house. Rhy was probably in his room with piles of work from my dad. After all, it was a challenge he accepted to build Rhy into the 'perfect' human.
The outside wasn't as cold and so I did not need a coat to keep me warm.
He led us to his pure black limousine and to say he was exaggerating this a bit too much. I was just a person.
I got in first and he followed later, sitting awfully close to me.
"We may depart." He said out and the limo began to move.

"I really love the silence here. It's quality and no paparazzi can get through those doors without being sued for." He chuckled just as we had finished out meal. Thankful enough it was a small meal not to over stuff me, but extremely expensive.
"So you really get that much attention, huh?" I asked and he smirked at me, his brown eyes pierced through me, sending nasty terrified chills down my spine.
I don't think I'm going to fangirl him in person. He had a creepy vibe surrounding him and it was intoxicating.
"I can't breathe without someone getting all up in my face." He said as he sipped on a wine glass.
Right. He's two years older than I was...
Probably twenty.
"it's fvcking annoying." He sighed as I raised my brows.
"Wow, what happened to your clean accent. Like you were in the movies." I chuckled and he rolled his eyes playfully with a tiny smile.
"You didn't look like anyone I could impress with a certain tone. So I decided not to bother." He said then clicked his tongue. "Except your father. He really wants dead on perfect accent. That clearly explains how insanely smart you are."
"Of course." I sighed and glanced down at my wine. "He wants to create the perfect human."
"Just like mine." He sighed out and leaned into his seat. "I wasn't allowed to actually go out and talk to the other kids unless they were from high class families or they aced well in school. That made me entirely friendless and I felt lonely up until I could get to talk to anyone after I had enrolled in a college at the age of ten. I was free to talk to anyone but most grownups didn't want to talk to a kid so I wasn't that close to everyone. However, I dropped out eventually and just opened a small business which as of today is shooting through the roof, making it possible for me to open another company that bloomed as well."
"Wow." I said sarcastically. He was practically getting full of himself. "What a show off." I chuckled and he grinned at me.
"I'm not showing off. I wanted you to feel sorry for me." He sighed and ran a hand through his perfectly combed hair.
"Well with a story like that. I don't think so."
"You were also in that position. Until you went to that highschool." He said and I stared at him for a moment, a bit perplexed. "Until you met those four friends of yours."
"Three."
"Four with that Gothic girl from the circus."
"Carnival, and how on earth do you know that?
"Theme park." He corrected and I rolled my eyes at him as he chuckled. "I know because I had to research about you before meeting you. You have a peculiar personality."
"Mm-hm." I sighed out and folded my arms across my chest while he stared intensively, as though he had a point to say but did not spill it out. "That's not creepy at all."
"No." He chuckled then stood up. "Care if I escort you back? It's ten and a lady must have her beauty rest. Though I doubt you need any, you're naturally beautiful Riley."
Oh wow.
I burst out laughing and it surprised him. Of course, I mean, who flirts like that?
"Is that how you flirt with girls?" I asked and he chuckled as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I haven't really been this close to a girl without my father shooting daggers at me, or my body guards shoving her away." He said as I stood up. "So yes, Riley. I was in fact flirting with you."
