I opened the door to my house with Sarah behind me, spotting my father's red car parked right in front of the house in all it's glory and singing in the sunset.

Damn...

I walked in, heading for the one place I knew I could find him in, and that was the living room.

The sound of the door clicking back into place told me Sarah had closed the door.

"Took you long enough Riley." My father's voice rang into my ears once I stepped foot into the living room. However, he wasn't the first person my eyes landed on, rather, Adrien. "And... Who might I add?" He asked as he must have been looking at Sarah.

"Sarah Douglas." I replied for her as I walked towards the empty two seated couch, sitting directly from mother and father. "What's this all about?"

"I've come to great concern of the boy you have been walking around with. Ash Briton I presume?" He asked as he stared intensively at me only to have Adrien chuckle out lowly.

"So what?" I asked in near anger as I glared at Adrien.

"He's not a college boy. Doesn't do well in class and is in fact a trouble maker as well despite his mother being the principal and owner of the school." He thundered as he stared me down from where he was sitting. "The highest he's ever gone is a B+ and that was just once. All his time there he scores C+ and B-."

"He can get better with my help!" I yelled in anger as I clenched my teeth.  "He's smart... He just needs some guidance and-"

"Don't waste your time with such people who know so little of what their role is in life. If he's role in life is to wait till his mother dies to pass on the heritage then fine by it, but do not associate with such people who live for heritage."

"He... He doesn't think that ill of his mother. You're... You're being inconsiderate!" I stammered and he leaned back into his seat, unpleased.

"Don't you stammer in front of me young lady, know your words and argue correctly. I taught you better." His tone was deeper and more sharpened and I knew I disappointed him.

Greatly.

"Ash is a good guy." I stated as I sat up straight. "He... He's nice to me. He likes me, he... Would do a lot for me and believe me I tried to force him to stay away for the reasons you gave but he always came back with a smile and I won't listen to you if you have a problem with him! I can help him upgrade his grades and get only A++ before the exams next month and I assure you he will definitely pass!" I panted as I lost my breath trying to speak in one breath. "I can prove to you he's an A++ student."

"Molding an already big man like him to perfection at such a late date? A month before exams? You must be joking Riley. Setting high expectations with very little achievable goals." He sighed out as he stroked his chin, a chin that had little beards forming on. "That is a risky move to challenge your father on a dormant boy like him."

"Cut it out!" I hissed at him and clenched my jaw tight. "You know nothing about him."

"I don't care about him to be curious of what you know from him. Rather, I will accept your challenge in seeing this thing through till the end and allow you to keep walking with this boyfriend of yours. However! I will not tolerate any nonsense if you get anything less than an A from being with him. Plus, if he does so have a brain, like you said, I will allow you to go on dating him. If he so does drop out his grades after this agreement, I will take him unfit to continue dating him." He said and I eased my shoulders a bit, knowing my mother must have talked him out of forcing me to abandon Ash completely.

"Fine." I sighed softly and smiled a little when I felt Sarah nag my shoulder. "I will get A++ and so will Ash."

"Alright. Since we have come to terms. The other subject being Adrien Hawks. I'm very aware you two met, however, he has pointed out a bit of aggression from you." He said as he hardly stared towards Adrien. "Why is that?"

"He disrespected my relationship with Ash." I pointed out and his brows went higher in surprise as Adrien clicked his tongue and looked away. "He started insulting Ash and threatening to destroy him by blackmailing him."

"I was only doing so just so you could change your mindset about me. You concluded I was just an incorporate fool who wanted to budge in and ruin your life. I personally just wanted to get you to like me a little. Mostly because I feel an attraction towards you, not only because of fame."

Oh wow.

This couldn't get any worse.

My father gave him an odd but amused glance as though he wasn't expecting Adrien to say such things.

Well I was despite knowing him personally for a day at least.

"You have gained a liking to Riley?" My mother asked as she shot him a curious yet suspicious gaze.

"Apparently." Adrien smirked as he shut his eyes for a moment and folded his arms across his chest. "She just has a way of putting a man in his place. I find it attractive."

Another psychopath.

"Couldn't you get any weird." I sighed as I glanced at Sarah who seemed well uncomfortable.

I wouldn't blame her.

"Believe it or not but my feelings for you won't change. By the way in case you are all wondering, it's not infatuation." He said to clear up the air that nobody even cared about. "So my sincere apologies if you find it a burden, Riley, but I can't help it."

I glanced at my mother who nearly laughed out but was stopped by the glare my father gave her to zip it.

"Dad, why did you even invite him into our lives?" I asked in anger and my father slowly fixed his glasses into place.

"Adrien, unlike Ash, already owns two businesses that are popular and achieving great amounts of income. His Net worth is extremely high and he's the perfect example closest to perfection. He likes you regardless of your rotten behavior that you might have obtained from your mother-"

Wasn't it you though?

"- and he is far much believable to give you a future filled with intelligence and wealth than Ash."

"I don't like him. I'm sorry, so if you will excuse me, I have class tomorrow and must take in as much needed sleep as possible. So does Rhy." I said as I stood up and glanced down at Sarah and Rhy who was just on a single person couch between my couch and my parents' couch. "Rhy, let's go have dinner and get to bed."
