Elephant who?

Chapter 02

I was really excited because after my last class I would head to the gym and have my first session.

I was putting back my math book because miraculously Mr. Davidson did not gave us any homework and I needed to get my history notebook before class and I was running pretty late.

I closed my locker door but when I turned to my right, there was Megan lying in the door next to mine and her to clones looking at me "Where are you going Elephant?" she asked me "To class" I answered while I stared walking towards my classroom but suddenly my foot got stuck on something and I fell into the ground.

"Well the why don't you go to your class then?" Megan tells me when she finishes laughing "Why don't you just leave me alone?" I asked trying to get up but some of her clones is putting her foot on my back making me stay on the ground.

"I thought I told you to never talk back to me Elephant!" she practically screamed. She snapped her fingers and the clone moves her foot but clone number 2 spills a chocolate milkshake in my head. "Learn the lesson Elephant" Megan says to me and then the three of them leave.

The tardy bell rings but I'm not heading to class, I'm going to the bathroom. I took off the thing of my head but my hair felt sticky same thing as my shirt and then I run to my class.

I pushed the door open and Ms. Norris looks at me because of the sudden interruption "You all right Amber?" she asked me. She is one of the few teachers that knows what's going on with Megan and all the bullying but they have never caught her and they don't say anything to the principal because he is her dad and thinks that she is an angel.

"I'm sorry I'm late Ms. Norris, can I still come in?" I asked giving her an apologetic smile, she has never given me a tardy because she knows why I'm late so it's not a surprise when she lets me in by gesturing with her hand and continuing the lesson.

I didn't have time to go home and wash my hair so I just left my hair on the awful ponytail that it's been all class and went to my car as soon as the bell rang so people wouldn't see me and know that probably Megan did something again.

I got in my car and drove to Strong Gym listening to the radio, I parked close to the building and took my bag with some sports clothes to change into but well, you know me? You know how lucky I am? Off course today I did not pack a t-shirt so that meant that I had to attend to my first lesson with a stain of milkshake on my t-shirt.

When I finished changing my pants I close the bag and step out of the bathroom to find Daniel talking to the receptionist, as soon as she heard the door open she looks at me and says "Oh there she is, Daniel, this is Amber" he turns his head to look at me and he seems a bit surprised and then just says "Follow me" and opens another door that lead us to the main gym.

"You can leave your stuff here" he tells me pointing to some lockers. I put my bag there and then go to meet him next to a treadmill in which he is pressing some bottoms.

"So... how did you found out about Strong Gym?" he asked me when he finished doing whatever he was doing "Umm...it was just some publicity that came in the mail" he laughed a bit "I thought they didn't send those anymore. All right we'll start in the treadmill for warming up. I'm not here only to help you but to teach you so you can do some of this stuff on your own. This is how the treadmill works..."

The session was kind of slow because he stopped to teach me how the machines that we used work and also explaining the plan and why we did the exercises.

He was really smart, I don't know for how long he's been doing this job but he even knew stuff about science and explain to me how the organism works during physical activity.

By the end I was physically and mentally tired from the workout and the information but I felt great and the most surprising part was that Daniel is not mean to me like his girlfriend, why are they together? For him I'm just another human being.
