Chapter 10

It's been a few weeks and you're probably wondering what happened, well, my mom went into trial because of what she did to the guy, to Janet's restaurant and it didn't help some complains that she accumulated before because off course she would do stupid things being drunk. We've been talking through letters because I'm still not ready to see her and I feel like she's clean only because in prision she does not get alcohol.

My dad and I are closer, he comes into town one week every month and he was here during the whole trial process and also because of the trial my parents finally finalized their divorce and my dad could sell the house and said that we'll save that money for college too.

If Mya and I we're close, now we are like glue because I moved in with her since none of my grandparents live in town and my dad was really comprehensive about me wanting to finish high school here with Mya and Daniel. She still travels but a bit less since I moved and her mom always tells me that she loves having a second daughter. I feel at a home.

Megan hasn't bothered me in a very long time but every time she sees me and Daniel together at school the look on her face is furious.

As I'm getting ready for school on the day that I go to the gym to see if I finally reached my ideal weight I'm a bit nervous but off course as if he reads my mind I get a text from Daniel Morning beautiful I can't help it but smile and text him back.

We've been going out on dates, holding hands at school and kissing like crazy. What can I say, I love his lips, they're so soft, he threats me like a queen, like I hope every girls gets threated, with respect and endless love.

"Dude come on! We're going to be late!" Mya screams as she comes into my room. I look up at her with an apologetic smile "Tell Daniel that you guys can talk at school...IN PERSON" She says grabbing my hand and dragging me out of the house to her car. We've been taking turns on what car to take to school and always have a blast singing along with the music on the radio.

When we arrive we run to our classrooms before the bell ring while Mya makes fun of me and Daniel for making us late because of our texting. I ran inside the classroom trying to get a seat on the back when halfway there someone grabs my hand making me stop.

"No good morning for me?" Daniel says pulling me closer, I smile and lean to kiss him "Good morning" I respond smiling. "Ugh" we hear Megan say as she takes a seat in front "I saved you a seat" Daniel tells me pointing to a seat next to him trying to distract me from Megan, I smile again and seat taking out my pens and notebook.

"All right, let's get settled" Miss Lopez says entering the classroom "Buenos dias clase" she greets us "Buenos dias" we all answer like robbots. She starts writing something on the board so everyone stars talking and Daniel grabs my hand. I turn to look at him and he is looking at me with a like smile on his face, a suspicious smile "What's with you today?" I ask but he has no time to answer because Miss Lopez starts talking again.

Halfway through the class Megan stand up "What are you doing to my dad!" she says and then goes to the hallway, we all turn our heads to see the principal cuffed and escorted by two police officers "I'm sorry ma 'mm but your dad is being arrested, we found evidence that he's been helping Juan Salazar to sneak drugs into the country" an officer answers.

I'm not sure if he can just say all of that but maybe is because she is his daughter but I'm pretty sure what happened next you can't do. Megan started pushing the officer trying to grab her dad, the other officer immobilized her "You'll have to come to the station with us and they drag her while she tries to break free and the now ex principal just looking to the floor.

The rest of the day was hectic, a lot of gossip from what happened, even some kids telling me that Megan got what she deserved, I don't agree, she's not guilty for her father mistakes she was just angry and probably confused and also teachers at meeting so they let us go 2 hours earlier so they could get figured out the whole principal situation.

Mya drove me to the gym in the afternoon "What a day" she says "Agreed, at least we got out early" I say as I reach to open the door "Hey" she stopped me grabbing my arm, I turn to look at her "Good look today with the scale" I smile at her "Thanks for all your support through this" she hugs me and then I go inside.

I didn't see Daniel before my evaluation which I'm not going to lie, it worried me because I was going to need his support if the number wasn't the one I wanted it to be. Jack did all the talk he usually does informing me about the procedures and then actually doing the procedures leaving the scale for the end.

I take a deep breath "It's okay Amber" Jacks tells me, I smile at him and step on the scale with my eyes closed, he writes it down and I get off without looking to the result.

I sit while he finishes writing something on the computer and then prints the information with a little smile on his face and hands me the paper before saying anything when I look down I see it. Current weight: 52kg. I look up to Jack smiling "So your new training plan will consist on...." I stopped listening, I just wanted to go tell Daniel that we've made it.

When I leave the examination room I expect to see Daniel but he is nowhere to be found so I ask Annie. She smiles "He's waiting outside" I'm confused "Why?" she keeps smiling kind of like Daniel his morning "Go ask him Amber not me" I roll my eyes but obey. I saw him with a backpack and workout clothes, not the white t-shirt and jeans that I saw him wearing at school.

"I'm sorry for not being there for your evaluation I was getting some stuff ready" I ran to him and show him the paper Jack just gave me "Holy sh¡t Amber" I let out a squeal of excitement "We did it!" I exclaimed "He hugs me "I knew you could do it" and then kisses me "Wait" I say pulling away "What stuff did you have to get ready?" He tries to look innocent "Oh, you know, some stuff for today's session" I'm confused again "Then why are we outside?" He smiles "Well smart pants, today we are going on a hike, we can start killing your new workout plan tomorrow" He answers and then grabs my hand guiding me through the trees.

I didn't ask any more questions, we just walked and talked about the new workout plan and enjoyed the nature, the non-polluted air and then he guided me though a hill that reached to an incredible view of a lake several meters below us "How in the world did you find this place?" I ask him, he just smiles "You have to go out more, we are really close to the gym actually"

He sat and started taking out stuff from his bag, the first thing was a picnic blanket "What are you doing?" I asked "Inviting you to a picnic smart pants" he answers taking out some sandwiches and two bottles of water "Come sit" I can't stops smiling while I do as told.

We ate in silences probably because none of us ate lunch at school, then he grabbed our garbage and put it into the bag "It was delicious, thank you" I say kissing him "Don't forget dessert" he says taking out a red box with a ribbon, I look at him in confusion "What is that?" I asked smiling, he just smiles back so I go ahead and open the box.

I found a pink Strong Gym hoddie, some petals and the alpaca he gave me for my birthday surrounded by packs of Oreo holding a sign that says Do you want to be my girlfriend? I turned to look at him "Amber I've been the happiest since I got to know you, I fell in love with you way before I could see it, you inspire me to be a good person and it would be an honor to call you my girlfriend" I was crying while I leaned in and kissed him "Yes! I will be your girlfriend!" I exclaimed hugging him.

"But I have a question" he looked at me "How did the alpaca got there?" He laughed "Mya brought it, we had to wait for you to go inside so I could arrange the box" I hugged him again "Thanks for making me feel so special" I said "It's what you deserve"

He hugged and kissed and joked until it stated to get colder, I shivered a little and he handed me my new hoodie "Now you don't have to steal mine" I put it on and answered "I will always steal yours" He rolled his eyes "Why? You don't get to have two, and this one is pink not black, it looks pretty on you" This time I rolled my eyes trying to hide my blush "Because yours smell like you" He just shook his head kissing me.
