A/N: Prepare to start hating on Creek >:)
Creek's POV:
After I brought a sugar-rushed princess of a brat to the castle for her to rest, King Peppy patted me on the back and offered me the position of being a knight. But I wanted more than that. And if the King would not give it to me, I will earn the right to have it.
Whatever it takes.

3rd Person POV:
It was a warm, sunny day in Colour Village. And Creek was going to put his plan into action.
Today.
He hid himself in the bush, watching her every move.
And when it was the part in the plan, he walked out, hoping she would notice. And, well, she did.
Of course, Creek thought to himself. Who wouldn't look at a troll like me?
In his self-absorbed state, he didn't realise the Princess approaching him fast as lightning.
"Hey Creek! Whatcha doin?"
"Oh!" He said, snapping out of his thoughts, "Hello, Princess! I was just thinking!"
"Thinking about what?" Poppy asked, curious yet hopeful it was something about her.
Now, all I need to do is make her swoon, and she will be mine, he thought, and smirked.
"Well, I was thinking about what you've done these days! It seems much more practical but includes the element of fun! Im so proud to have such a good princess like you." He lied through his teeth, hoping he didn't arouse any suspicion.
But, as usual, Poppy was blinded by his compliments to notice his tone.
He said he's proud of me! Heehehehehe... Poppy's smile turned soft and she had the lovestruck look in her face. Noticing his plan was about to work, Creek beamed. Nothing's going to stop me now, he thought.
"So, where did the genius ideas come from?"
Poppy, still in the lovestruck state, said:
"Oh, these ideas weren't really mine, I improvised on them to add the fun. These ideas were from Br-"
She froze, and tensed up. Creek isn't supposed to know about Branch! He'll think I don't trust him and not be friends with me anymore!
"Uh, Poppy? You didn't answer my question."
"I- I found it in a tree, carved on a tree branch!"
Creek clearly heard the lie in what Poppy said, and raised his eyebrow suspiciously.
"Sure..."
He was going to find out if she didn't leave sooner.
"Yeah! Hehehehehehehehe..."
"Okay, uh and Poppy, I want to ask you..."
"Uh, Creek, I've got to go, the Snack Pack's calling me. Ask the questions later!" Poppy, wanting to get out of that conversation as quickly as possible, made up an excuse to leave. The Snack Pack were waving to her and giving Creek dirty looks anyway, as if he was the reason why Poppy didn't hang out with them for as long as when they were younger and Poppy didn't know Creek. (A/N: In this book, I freaking love the snack pack for this. I also wanted them to be the people with good judgement and know that Creek is not good for Poppy.) Creek, being used to this since long ago, just shrugged and walked away, silently cursing himself for not making his plan to make the princess his girlfriend work.
Oh sweet, innocent Poppy. Almost the entire village recognised the signs of a crush, and Creek definitely knew perfectly well Poppy liked him. He didn't really like her back as she was so full of energy, and unlike his calm self, Poppy was always excited. But he, wanted power. He sought after it hungrily, clamoured for it, chased after it. He wanted control of the village. He wanted to see everybody around him suffer as he got what he wanted, whenever he wanted.
And he would do anything to get that power.

"Hey guys! Ready for our 'meeting'?" Poppy quoted "meeting" and winked. That was the code word for playing with Branch. Now that the Snack Pack have gotten to know Branch, (A/N: I was lazy to write how in the previous chapter, but it'll be in the soon-to-be oneshots book :P) they wanted to play with him. So, every weekday, they would go with Poppy, as her heart was the one that knew when he was near the border.
And in the weekends, well, Branch and Poppy would play all day(*cough* alone), the Snack Pack spying on them, and sometimes giving excuses as to why Poppy was nowhere to be seen. Guy, being the ringleader of the "spying group", would always bring a camera, for, ya know, in case there was broppy action. But nothing happened yet, as Poppy still had a crush, remember? And Branch, well, he couldn't even begin to understand what that weird tingling, stomach-churning feeling was. So, all they were as of right now, was friends.
It's such a pity, Guy thought, and whispered to DJ, his best friend, (A/N TwT they're still friends for now) "Hey, you think they're good with each other?"
DJ didn't even hesitate. "Duh! I can tell ya, the chemistry behind this... it's enough to make me an entire soundtrack! Much better than Poppy and that idiot Creek anyways, dontcha think?"
GD nodded. "Much better. All that purple jam boy did was smirk at her and she swooned. I still don't get how she doesn't see the arrogance in him, seriously. Unlike Branch, Creek is, like, so full of himself. I think he just doesn't show it in front of Poppy. I sincerely hope this won't get in the way of Poppy and Branch's friend relationship."
Unfortunately for Guy Diamond, his hopes were awfully wrong. You see, Creek was going to tell Poppy, but she left in such a hurry, and he got suspicious. He chased after Poppy, who was running off to the forest with the Snack Pack, and hid behind trees when they suspiciously looked back to see if anyone was following.
When he reached the clearing, he hid in some nearby bushes. GD heard the rustling of the bushes, but shrugged it off, thinking it was the wind.
"Branch? Branch! Branch are you there?"
"You don't need to repeat yourself, Princess."
Branch had found out that Poppy was royalty from the Snack Pack, and decided that it was her nickname. Poppy found that cute, but annoying at times. (A/N: Another thing to add into the oneshots book QwQ)
"Branch! I told you, just call me Poppy!" Poppy giggled, pretending to roll her eyes in annoyance. The snack pack just waved at first, and then proceeded to laugh at the silent interaction.
Creek, seeing this, immediately gasped. Princess Poppy was hanging out with another troll? A grey troll, even? That was ridiculous! He was jealous of how they bantered around. Why couldn't he be the one to see her everyday and charm her with his words? Was he no better than a grey troll? He was angry at this, fuming even.
He crawled out of the bushes into the village once more, his face turning dark purple from fury, and his fists clenched, jaw locked, he headed back home to devise a new plan.
He had to make Poppy his, before it was too late.
A/N: Aaaand that's a wrap for this chapter! It's already 11pm, but it's always when the ideas come best. Also, my oneshots book should be coming soon, but for now it's just this. I'm so freaking hyped!
One thing I wanna mention: I drew my trolls persona, Kaylie! I was bored, so I started drawing. I'm not good of a drawer though, and it looks weird. I'll probably be uploading that when I bother to colour her with the good old colour pencils and make her look as best as I can, and maybe put her in here (not gonna be a major role though).
So, now Creek knows about Branch! What plan is he devising? Will he succeed? Or will he fail? Is the Snack Pack going to try getting Poppy and Branch closer together? What are Poppy's feelings, exactly? All that, in the chapters to come! Seeya next week my awesome readers!
Hugs, sprinkles and happiness,
Enya :D
