New story! Okay, proceed to reading.

~~~
My alarm was ringing but I was not getting up anytime soon. I rolled around until I was tightly wrapped in my blanked again and buried my head under my pillow completely ignoring my alarm. I hadn't slept all night. I wouldn't tell anyone though, they'd think I was crazy if I said I couldn't sleep because I felt like someone was watching me, inside and outside my dreams.
It all started two weeks ago. It was just a dream. The figure would be there watching me but it felt so real. After that I was afraid to sleep and I started seeing it in my everyday life. The first encounter was in my kitchen, I actually thought it was my friend Luke, but when I turned around no one was there.
"Wake up you lazy shit" Michael boomed into my room pulling the blanket onto the ground bringing me down with it. I landed with a thud groaning but not getting up.
Michael was my other roommate along with Luke, we have been best friend since high school and when we left and there was no hope for us doing great things on our own we decided to get a little dodgy apartment and get local jobs to survive.
"You need to drive me to work" Michael said leaving the room not letting me say anything else. Luke and I were also the only ones with a license and Michael relies on one of us. I got up not bothering to get dressed and just pulled my hair in a high messy bun and went out into the kitchen where Michael was waiting for me with my keys.
Once he saw me he chucked the keys and it was surprising I caught them. We walked out the door and into the car without a word, the drive was also silent but it was normal. We barely talk in the morning it's like a rule. We are all very moody morning people and just choose not to talk before 10. I stopped in front of the run down music store Michael works at and mumbled a quick 'have a nice day' before driving home.
Once I was home I went into the lounge room and lied on the couch turning the TV on. I got comfortable and tried to concentrate on the TV but I slowly drifted to sleep. It wasn't long though since I heard a shuffling in the hallway, thinking it was Luke I shrugged it off and focused on the television again. Everything was still and eerie besides the low sounds coming from the television and an uncomfortable feeling rushed over me. Suddenly a loud crash could be heard from the bathroom at the end of the hall startling me.
"Luke is that you?" I asked from the couch but got no reply.
"Luke! Is everything alright?" I said louder getting slightly worried. There was a rusting at the door and Luke walked in looking tired and sweaty from his morning run. I must have looked like I had seen a ghost because Luke gave me an odd look. "What's up?" He asked walked over to the kitchen which was an open area connected to the living room.
"You weren't home?" I asked following him into the kitchen where he got us both glasses of water.
"No, why?" He asked confused.
"There was a crash in the bathroom, I thought it was you"
Luke looked at me with scared eyes and over to the hallway door like there was something there. I quickly looked around scared but there was nothing, like always. Luke broke out into laughter like it was the funniest thing.
"You're an asshole" I mumbled looking down at my hands.
"I think you are either paranoid about something or we are being haunted by a spirit" Luke said but all I could think of was what if it was both.
