Two Weeks Later
"okay bring it in boys" coach M told the basketball team
"bow your heads" a boy named rj said
they all bowed their heads touching shoulders as the prayer began. before every game the gathered around praying over one another and that they just played well with no injuries.
"father God we come to you today humbly i pray that you protect my boys out there and that whether they're inside or outside this gym you cover them and protect us all lord and of course that we win this game father God in Jesus name we pray amen." coach finished
"amen" the boys said
"okay listen up we gone win this right? and even if we don't we still winners okay bring it in"
"jaguars on three!" maine shouted
"JAGUARS" they all shouted running out the gym
the bleachers were filled with friends and families from each team and there was a special section for college scouts which meant that the would be playing a lot harder.
soon enough the first quarter started with the falcons up by 1 point they were neck to neck. nehemiah stole the ball running down to half court shooting the ball into the basket. once the ball went in he threw up a two kissing it to the air.
angel sat at the edge of her seat eating nachos watching the game intensely. nehemiah and jermaine were giving the crowd a run for their money they were constantly leaving the crowd on the edge of their seats. it was exciting and at certain times the whole gym would be dead silent only thing you could hear was the shies of the players squeaking against the ground.
"come on" omar and becca mumbled

finally in the last quarter the two teams had been tied this was the money shot the make or break and it was up to jermaine. nehemiah was behind him to save the ball if needed
"three! three!" maine mumbled shooting the ball
"swoosh!" the bal made it into the basket making the whole crowd erupt into cheers
"lets goooo" nehemiah ran up yo him dapping him up
"and your state champions the jaguars!!"
coach grabbed the trophy passing it to maine. the juniors and seniors cheered loudly with tear filled eyes. for most of the players this would be their final highschool game for others like miah and maine they had on more year.
