Chapter 4 - Memory - Natasha
"You're A Terrible Liar" - Natasha Romanoff
I walked off happily to my meeting after seeing Steve. I had missed him so much, and I couldn't take any longer without my best friend. I had overheard some S.H.I.E.L.D agents saying that Steve was leaving for good, and I remember getting so scared when I heard the rumour; we had been through so much together, and never having Steve again just was unimaginable. I mean, it sounded unlike him, to just quit for good, but it as definitely possible, Steve was fairly easy to read.
"Natasha!" Steve said, walking fast after me.
I turned around with tears smudged all ver my face. "Why was Fury in your apartment?" I ask skeptically, carefully observing his face.
He shrugs his shoulders and raises his hands. "I dunno," he replies, and it's pretty clear that he's lying.
"Cap, they want you back at S.H.I.E.L.D," I hear a familiar voice say. It's Rumlow, but I don't look at him, I just keep my eyes on Steve.
"Yeah, just a sec," he says turning back to me.
"They want you now," Rumlow says, slightly firmer this time.
Steve turns his head again to Rumlow and puts on a slightly annoyed expression. "Okay," he replies, with the hint of aggravation in his tone. He looks back at me, changing his face to a more sympathetic look.
I give him a smirk full of austerity. "You're a terrible liar," I say, tilting my head and changing my smirk to a look of disapproval and betrayal. He opens his mouth to speak but I just turn on my heel and walk away, wiping my wet cheek.
I smile at the thought of the memory, I dunno why, after Steve had lied to me. That moment, I think that Steve realised that I wasn't as forgiving as I looked. From then on he never lied to me again. I laughed.

The next chapter is going to reveal a pretty big plot of the story so please stick around! I'm sorry if my writing isn't that professional, I'm not a writer for a living I just do this for fun but I'm having fun doing this so that's what's important! Love you guys, Ami 💖
