Chapter 9 - The Other Side

Third Person POV

"Why can't you tell me?"

JungKook was with his hyungs and Momoland in the living room. He wanted to know the real reason why Nancy was crying and hurt but he couldn't get any answers.

"We promised Nancy to not tell anyone. I think that includes you too, JungKook." HyeBin tried explaining to him but it seemed like he wasn't getting it.

"But why not? I'm really close to her!" JungKook exclaimed, half talking to himself.

"JungKook, don't bother the girls about this topic please? If Nancy doesn't want anyone to know then let her." Namjoon tried to calm the makane down.

"We don't know why either." Jimin added, also wanting to help.

But JungKook didn't listen to his hyungs responses and just stormed off to his room in anger and worry. He didn't want to seem rude but he just needed a quiet place to think for a while.

After he closes his door, JungKook lands face first onto his face, groaning into his pillow, muffled sounds was all that was heard.

A few seconds after, he turns around in bed and faces the ceiling, a worried look stuck on his face.

Ever since he met Nancy in the corridors, he couldn't get her out of his mind. His worry for her seemed to grow bigger and bigger the longer he was left clueless about her hiatus.

Nancy's hiatus was way more stressful and full of worry than he thought.

At the BLACKPINK dorm, the 4 girls were in the living room, discussing the events that just happened.

"So you don't really like JungKook?" Jennie asked, trying to understand the situation.

"It's not like that!" Lisa tried to explain to her eonnies, "I thought I did at first but just recently... A bit before the article was released... I realised..."

"... That you didn't?" Rosé finished off for her, making the girl nod in agreement, embarrassed to admit it.

"But why are you still with him?" Jisoo questions, confused, "Are you, like, 'leading him on?'"

"I know he likes Nancy and they obviously both like each other back but I saw that Dino really does like Nancy so I'm thinking Nancy might've moved on." Lisa started her explanation, "I feel bad leaving JungKook alone during now so I really don't mind acting as a 'rebound', if you can call it that, for him."

"Lisa..." Jisoo starts off, putting a hand pm her shoulder, "You know, sometimes you are just TOO nice."

"Why did you act all obnoxious around them?" Rosé asks, remembering the experiences told to her by her best friends but also some of the BangtanLand members.

"I don't really know myself, to be honest. Back then, when I thought I liked him, I saw Nancy as someone who JungKook cares about a lot but I wanted to be in her position so I thought acting like that would help but obviously it didn't." Lisa said.

"Because it made Nancy act the same way to you." Jennie guessed correctly.

"I can get why she did it though, I was being really mean in a way. I just wish I could speak to her about it and explain myself." Lisa continued.

"It's okay. You can try to talk to her but I'm pretty sure it will be awkward." Rosé tells us, laughing a bit to lighten the mood.

"So are you breaking up with JungKook?" Jisoo asks.

"I guess so..." Lisa answers, "Well, I mean, I have to at some point, but I dont know when."

"Maybe soon so it wouldn't be confusing in the future." Jennie suggests.

"But what if he actually likes me? I don't want to hurt him!" Lisa starts to over think, making the girls calm her down.

"Don't over think!" Jisoo tells her, "If you don't have feelings for him any more, don't hurt him even more by dragging it on. Okay?"

Lisa nods at her eonnies words and thinks over it, trying to make the right decision.

"But what if fans start questioning about why we broke up right after like what happened with Jennie-" Lisa got cut off by her worries.

"Then discuss it with both our CEOs and JungKook so you can release a statement about it." Jennie tells her, putting an end to that conversation.

"So guys, what should we eat?" Rosé asks.

"Chicken!" Jisoo exclaims excitedly, getting her phone quickly to order before the others can stop her.

Back at the park everyone seems to go to, Nancy asked to meet up with Dino, thankful that he was free at that time.

Nancy was able to tell him everything that recently happened, feeling very comfortable around him.

When Dino comes, her moods seems to change drastically and she noticed it as well. She didn't mind it because her mood changes were affecting her positively.

"So you need a break?" Dino summarizes, making Nancy nod whule leaning on his shoulder, "Well, don't be afraid to call me while. I'll make time for you."

"Thank you, Channie." Nancy says to him, smiling for the first time that day.

Dino responded with a happy sigh and puts his arm around Nancy's shoulders, patting her shoulder occasionally.

Nancys eyes slowly start closing as her tiredness creeps in. The tears she's spilt that day definitely made her eyes puffy so maybe sleep was best for her right now.

Dino looks down at the sleeping Nancy and smiles at her. He felt very happy when he was around her and didn't mind making time to see her when she really needs it.

His smile faded a bit when he remembered that her heart lies somewhere else, with Jungkook, and that he was stuck in the friend zone.

Dino had genuine feelings for Nancy and cared for her a lot, somethings Dino didn't think JungKook showed a lot of the time.

But his goal is to make her happy. If being in the friend zone is what works best, then he was willingly to stay there for her, even if she ends up with JungKook in the end.

A/n: I hope this update is more interesting than the last one! Chapters are becoming harder to update because of WiFi issues so I hope you guys arr patient enough to wait because once I have a chance to update, there might be 2 or 3 chapters (depending on how much I've written)
