Chapter 15 - Dino?

Third Person POV

"He did?"

Momoland flew back to Korea after their concert and of course Dino wanted to see Nancy as soon as possible.

It occured to Nancy that they were supposed to be in a fake relationship just to make Jungkook see what he was missing. But now that they don't have to, Nancy was wondering how she was going to tell him.

They haven't acknowledged the fact that they are in a fake relationship ever since they said, only occasionally when Dino wanted to tease her, because they acted normal whenever they were together.

Nancy noticed some signs that Dino might like her but she wasn't sure. She didn't want to jump to conclusions in case she embarrasses herself or others. Even if she knew he did, she doesn't know how to tell him that she still likes JungKook because she doesn't want to lose a close friend that's been with her during hard times.

But she knew she had to some day as to not lead Dino on so when she met up with the boy, she decided to tell him then what happened with JungKook.

"Yes, I told him a wasn't ready yet but I... Said I liked him too..." Nancy, for some reason, felt very hesitant when telling this to Dino because she couldn't predict how he would react.

Dino was silent, taking in this information. He knew this day would come sooner or later; JungKook finding the guts to confess to Nancy and Nancy still liking him back.

But he was hoping that the 0.000001% chance of him being able to get Nancy to get over JungKook and like him back would happen.

Dino was with her the 1st time JungKook hurt Nancy and the 2nd time. She turned to him when she felt sad about JungKook and Lisa. He was one of the first people she told about her hiatus, not JungKook.

Dino hoped that Nancy could remember those times and realise how much he cared for her and give him a chance but that chance is gone now and there's nothing he could do about.

"T-that's great." Dino forced a smile, "I'm proud of you."

He felt genuinely happy for her. He wanted her to be happy and he got it, just not because of him. Even if he was proud of her, his smile, for some reason, couldn't be as big as he wanted it to be. It couldn't be a bright as he wanted it to be. It couldn't be as sincere as he wanted it to be.

"Really?" Nancy asked, happy that Dino reacted positively but couldn't see his true feelings, "We'll only be close friends now until I'm ready to date."

The boy could only nod along to what his friend was saying or else he might accidently reveal his true emotions. Nancy looked so happy when talking about Jungkook and Dino didnt want to ruin that for her.

He was the person Nancy could trust and tell him what she really was feeling so Dino wanted to keep it that way. He still wanted to be trusted fully by Nancy so he will be that person even if it hurts him to know that Nancys heart is only with Jungkook.

You okay now, maknae?" Vernon asks, sitting down next to him.

Dino couldn't respond or didn't want to respond as he was too into his thoughts. He couldn't get the fact that Nankook really did sail out of his mind and his hyungs definitely noticed it.

"Come on, Chan! Forget about it now!" Joshua tried to lighten him up by starting to speak in english.

"But I just-" Dino hesitated to continue but he did anyway as his hyungs that are present leaned in closer to hear what the maknae has to finally say, "I just don't get it."

"Don't get what?" Seungkwan asks, not knowing why Dino was so... Moody.

Most of his bandmates do know about Dinos feelings for Nancy but that was it. He hadn't told anyone about what he really felt and what he really hoped for.

"I don't get how Jungkook kept hurting Nancy while I stuck by her side and yet she still turned to JungKook." Dino finally told his hyungs, "She told me all those things that were on her mind ans we beame really close. I really thought I had a chance this time now that we became closer. But it's gone now. And now if I let my feelings get the best of me, Nancy might lose a friend."

The resr of SEVENTEEN didn't know what to say. They never knew the full love triangle story behind Dino, Nancy and JungKook and now that they do, it seems very hard to give advice that might be helpful.

"It's okay, Chan." Seungcheol started off, "You can still be friends witb Nancy. It may be hard but if you really care for her, you should accept the fact that you can and will always be the friend she can turn to when she needs it the most."

"It's better to accept it quickly than to let it affect you for a long time." Mingyu quotes, sounding very inspirational.

"Thanks, hyungs." Dino said, laughing as so to hide his tears.

"Aww, baby Dino is crying!" Seokmin says, taking Dinos face in between his hands to baby him.

"No! He's MY baby!" Jeonghan pushes him to the side and took his place, "Dino, whose baby are you?"

"Jeonghan's baby..." He reluctantly says but it makes him smile anyway because he knows that his hyungs will always have his back whenever he feels down or when he needs encouragement.

SEVENTEEN will always be there for him.

A/n: Here is a chapter mostly on SEVENTEEN (as you can see) because I'm going through a SEVENTEEN phase where i binge watch all the videos I missed. Anyway! I hope you enjoy!
