Chapter Ten

Piper: Wait!!!

Ray: what?

Jasper: oh sure! That you heard

Piper: we need to tell henry that he's in love with Charlotte

Everyone else: WHAT?!?

Henry's mom: honey no, he needs to figure it out for himself

Piper: that could take forever!

Schwoz : she's right, henry sometimes is not the sharpest tool in the shed

Ray: right? He thought chocolate milk comes from brown cows

Schwoz: ray, that was you

Ray: WELL WHERE ELSE DOES IT COME FROM!!!

A little argument ensues.

Henry's mom: I still don't think we should tell him

Piper: we have to mom, Charlotte's on her way to airport right now he can still catch her

Henry's dad: she's right honey, you saw them all month

Henry's mom: I did.....uh fine!!! We need to give my baby every chance he has to be happy

Piper: fine it's settled, let's go!!!!

They all rush up to Henry's room, ray kicks the door open startling henry.

Henry: uh what.....wa....was that necessary?

Ray: YES!!!! We have to tell you something!!!!

Henry: what? I'm not coming back to work for you ray

Ray: psssh.....it's not that!!! Although the mayor bumped up our budget......

Everyone else: RAY!!!!

Ray: FINE!!!!.....kid....you're......

The words get caught in ray's mouth, he pushes jasper to tell him, who pushes schwoz who pushes Henry's dad who pushes Henry's mom who pushes piper.

Piper: ugh would you guys just.....hen! You're in love with Charlotte!!!!!

She blurts it out. Its silent for a while. Henry just stares blankly back at her, still holding onto Charlotte's fleece blanket.

Everyone looks at each other.

Piper: are you in shock or something? Hen....

Henry: WHAT?!!

Henry answers as he finally processed what piper just said to him.

Piper: I said you're......

Henry: I heard what you said, Piper!!! Do you know how insane you sound? Me?! In love with Charlotte ha!!!! T-t-that sounds crazy...that's......that's crazy!!!! I'm not in love with Charlotte.....

Piper: oh we......

Henry: pssssh psssh psssssh oh oh I see what's going on here!!!! What? a guy can't cry over his best friend leaving whilst tightly holding her fleece blanket that smells like her?

Jasper: um.....

Henry: Can't a guy just get a little emotional remembering how like this fleece blanket, Charlotte smells a little like strawberries mixed with a floral scent of some kind, a scent that always relaxes me and makes me feel calm because I know that everything is going to be okay cause char is here and she always knows what to do?

Ray: are you hearing yourself?

Henry: do you all think this?

Henry's mom: yes sweetie, anyone with eyes can see it!!!! We've been seeing it all month!!!! You guys rekindling your friendship then proceeding to fall in love!!! We've all been seeing it!!!!
