"No please don't hurt her!" He pleaded.

Bucky was strapped to a chair. With his arms and legs completely restrained. To his right was Y/n. She was shivering in a corner. Her face was littered in cuts and bruises. Her eyes watery from crying. She didn't look well, and it was all his fault.

"I won't, but you will." The man grinned.

Just then Bucky sees his worst fear. The book with a black star. The man began to recite the words and Bucky did his best to fight it. All he could feel was pain and anger. Then his mind became blank and he wasn't Bucky anymore, he was the Winter Solider.

"Ready to comply." He said blankly.

"Kill the girl." The man said.

The Solider walks towards her. Something inside him is begging for him to stop, but he can't. The girl is now sobbing as he wraps his metal hand around her neck—

Bucky was stirring in his sleep again, this had become a regular thing. The clock said 2am, the nightmares were always at this time for some reason. You hated it. His mind was still haunted if the things he has seen and done.

"No!" Bucky cried out.

His whole body contorted and started shaking. You had to try and snap him out of it. You tried to shake him, that usually worked.

"Bucky wake up!" You said gently.

He just kept stirring and mumbling. You tried shaking him once more, but then he suddenly grabbed your wrists. His grip was too tight and you could get out of his hold. Your wrists were now burning with pain.

"BUCKY STOP!" You shouted.

His eyes suddenly jerked open and fear was etched a crossed his face. His grip was still tight against your wrists. He looked at you and could see your face scrunched up in pain. He quickly he let go of your arms.

"I'm sorry" he said in a low tone.

"It's okay." You said.

"I-I hurt you." He winced.

You tried to wrap your arms around him but he quickly recoiled from your touch.

"Bucky please I just wanna make sure your okay." You calmly said.

"It was just another nightmare." He said shakily.

His eyes were watery and threatening to spill tears. It broke your heart to see him this upset.

"Can you tell me what happened?" You asked.

He just simply shook his head and turned away from you. He never shared what his nightmares were about.

He didn't want you to know.

You didn't want to push him.

He continued to shut you out. But tonight wasn't the night to have that conversation, right now you just needed to calm him down.
