The Second Princesses rumour plot

Today, was in Camille's opinion, one of the worst days of her life. Not only did she have to wake up early, but she wasn't allowed to eat breakfast and had to take a bath for a half and hour.

Anne needed to called in other maids to help her dress up. The dress Camille bought for the party was too...excessive for her. A blue dress with flower patterns, the white underskirt showing on the bottom. The dress showed the shoulders, and was laced with pretty flowers and jewels.

Camille had never worn a dress so beautiful before, and it was a bit hard to walk in, but she had gotten used to it pretty quickly.

Anne was making her hair fro what it seemed to be an hour, tying hair strands into braids and tying everything together into a ponytail. Camille herself was impressed, that they made her look this pretty.

The night of the ball was upon her, and to exercise her plan, she needed to be extra careful, as to not wreck the plan.

Camille didn't plan on making any friends nor acquaintances tonight. Her only reason for being there was to get her debutante over with, and have some honey cake.

But her plans might be ruined by the plans of the second Imperial Princess, the host of tonight's ball.

In order to find people to include in her friend group, to invite to future balls and tea parties, she needed to find the perfect ladies, as her friend group is very exclusive.

In order to achieve this, she had made a test for all the ladies who are having their debutante today. The plan consisted of many parts, but one was very important and could make or break your chances in getting in the princesses friend group.

That was, how the ladies treat someone whose surrounded by bad rumours. Of course, this part of the test required a sacrifice. So she carefully picked a lady who she hadn't heard much from, and who's not an important person in society, and the perfect candidate was.....Camille Spencer.

She had never attended a ball before, even after she turned 16. And is making her first appearance today at the ball. Not much is heard from the Spencer Estate, and they keep to themselves, so not much is known about them. Their only child, Camille, was the sacrifice for the second Princesses plan.

The Princess based a rumour, that Camille was an idiot, who was unbelievably stupid, and that is why the Spencer Estate keeps quiet and their daughter doesn't attend balls. The princess and no intention of inviting Camille inside her friend group, so the rumour could be anything really.

But Camille, only thinking of honey cake, had forgotten about this fact, so hurried over to the Palace in a flash. And so, something very sinister awaits her at the Palace today.

Camille entered the ballroom, looking out for anything suspicious that would give off a signal to leave, but something confusing awaited her.

A lot of the ladies at the ball were looking straight at her,observing and looking at their top to bottom. Camille was confused at first, but a memory in the back of her mind came to front.

In the novel, the Princess planned a test to see who is worthy of being in her friendship circle, and a part of that test was to see how they would treat a lady that's been a victim of a bad rumour.

The heroine was one of the people who passed the test, with consoling with Camille, yet Camille only viewed it as ridicule, she was furious about the rumour, and thought that the heroine was the one who started it, and that started her hatred for her.

Of course, the Princess never admitted to this, as why would she?
