Phyllis went to her working room with Misty and she started to arrange her formal papers without any words. Misty stood in front of her and she chewd the inside of her mouth while she waited to Pyhllis to say something. When she realized she won't, she started to speak.
"Uhm, Sorry, what should I help with?" She asked couriously.
"Well" she looked up from her papers slowly and looked at Misty behind her glasses. "Actually I just wanted to talk with you about what you asked in the morning." She stated emotionlessly.
"Oh.." Misty lowered her gaze. "Y-you really don't have to. We can forget about that."
"No, we can't." She lowered her gaze to her formal papers and pretended like she was doimg something important. "You know... the truth is... I simply can't treat you like before their accident."
"But... but why?" She mumbled.
"Don't you understand? I really have to explain it?" She put down her papers angryly and looked the girl but she realized that she really have to explain because Misty truly didn't understand. "Because their loss is hurts me as well. And I can't let you and your mother close to me, because if you two die one day before me, I just couldn't handle it. Got it? Now get out!" She couldn't say something without manners so she added: "please". But those words were so emotionless that Misty has never heard something like that before.
"B-but y-you don't have to do tha-"
"I SAID GET OUT NOW PLEASE" She raised her voice and pointed to the excit of the room.
"Okay" Misty shuttered and went out of the room to her own room. She lied down on her bed and cried hard. 'I understand her but she souldn't shut out us because of this. She's so mean with me but it was not this way in the past. I miss her past self.' Then a sudden idea hopped in her mind. She will go to Alice. She is the one person who could maybe comfort her and she said Misty can trust her. Misty stood up and stormed down the stairs then out of the house. Then she realized she didn't know the address. She went inside again into the kitchen and searched in a box for the address. She knew that in that box there are a lot of information about Phyllis friends and connections. There were phone numbers and addresses in tiny papers and she searched for Alice's. Then she found it and realized it wasn't that far. She can walk there.
When she arrived she knocked on her door. It was 7 o'clock but she hoped it wasn't too late and wasn't unpolite from her.
Alice opened the door and saw that Misty is quite disturbed."Hey Misty what's wrong? Come in" she motioned her inside by touching above her elbow.
They went inside, sat on the sofa next to one another.
"I had a little argument with Phyllis. It wasn't completely an argument. She just said something what hurts me." Misty lowered her eyes.Alice caressed her upper arm while searched her gaze.
"What did she say?" Asked worriedly."She said she can't let herself to care about me and my family with love because of she lost her 2 sister and she doesn't want to feel hurt once again if we die. It's just so unfair. I understand her feelings but it's just... it's not fair." She sobbed.
"I'm so sorry Misty. I really don't know what sould I say. I want to help you but I don't know how. Maybe I could talk to her" She said sadly and continued caressing her arm.
"You don't have to say anything. We can't do anything. If you talk to her about this she will know that I ran to you with my problems and I don't want she think about this like I tell you my stuffs instead of her. I will try to speak with her ince again some time later. But thank you for listening me, it really means a lot and I didn't know who could I tell besides you. I feel like I can truly trust you." She looked into her eyes and smiled lightly while her eyes were full with tears.
