I finally woke up checked to make sure I was not dreaming by pinching myself. I looked over at payton and held her hands tight her mom still passed out on the couch beside payton. "Knock knock"
A voice said out the door and the doctor walked in.
"Oh.. Hi doc"
"Hi sir. Well we did check ups and vaccines and scans and everything possibly you could think of in the book. And well I have great news then bad.. Which you wanna hear first?"
I looked at him astonished. Well what did I want? Wow. Something I wanted not something someone else wanted for the first time. I actually got to say what I wanted. I think that's the reason I was so madly in love with payton. She let me have my word in it to.
"Good" I said
"Well we can possibly drain all the rumors and cancer out if we keep her in this condition as medicine for the next year."
Payton's mom wakes up.
"You hear that" I tell her
"Yeah I hear everything"
"Well what's the bad news?"
"Well... See we don't have the medicine yet."
My face. It stood still. It was cold and shattered. Don't have the medicine yet. Never thought those words would kill me.
"How can we.. How? YOUR A HOSPITAL.!!!" I raised my voice.
"Sir. I know but things get hard sometimes but their shipping it in now."
"Just make her better doc."
"Will try"
The doctor walks out and I just fall into payton and cry. I couldn't help it.
"Matt... Oh Matt. You care so much about her hun. As much as I do" Payton's mom said
"I love her"
"I know you do"
Then a familiar voice came and I turned to see who it was.
