MORAL OF THE STORY, never ever know what you are. James Greene knee what he was and he didn't want to. He liked Carl Grimes, Rick Grimes's son. He didn't want to, James wanted to fix himself. He tried to ignore the fact that it hurt when Carl started hanging out with Enid more.
Enid would often snuck out of Alexandria which Carl sometimes followed when the two were plan on hanging out. Carl spent more time with even Ron and Mikey than James, that made him even more jealous. Sara of course, always wanted to spend time with James. She always flirted with him but James tried to enjoy without knowing how cringy it was.
James of course, has known on why he's been following Enid. He finds interest in her.
"Ahh! You look so cute!" Maggie smiles as James comes out of the bathroom from changing. "You look good, man." Glenn says. "Oh gosh, stop it guys...." He gushes sarcastically making the two chuckle and laugh. Deanna invited them over for a little get together.
Deanna had found an outfit that seemed like it fit James, and it did. Another sweater, brown jacket, blue pants. He looked like a fashionable character from the eighties. "Ready to go?" Glenn stands up. They all nod before walking up the stairs. The three agreed to go later since James slept throughout the whole day since Sara's mother wouldn't let her go out and Carl didn't see him.
Maggie opens the door to the house, Maggie walks in first with James following, then Glenn. "Hey." Maggie says to Noah. "Hi." He responds with no expression. "Hey. You okay?" Glenn questions curiously. "Yeah." He nods. "You sure?" James raises his eyebrows. "Yeah, it's just this isnt really my thing." Noah told them. James looks over and sees Carl and god he looked so perfect.
"I'm gonna go see Carl." He says before walking over to the boy sitting on the stairs. James takes a seat next to him, "hey." He says. "Hi." Carl responded, looking down at the floor. God, he didn't wanna look at Carl. "We haven't really talked...I haven't seen you as much lately. Maybe we should hang out again? Just us? tomorrow?" James asked. Carl shrugs, "I'm hanging out with Mikey and Ron, we're doing something that just involves three of us."
"Oh." James looks down, feeling hurt. "Sorry...it's just, not enough room. You know?" He lies which James just nodded, "Yeah, I understand."
"So...you and Sara, are you guys a thing?" Carl asked him. James nodded, "No..I don't really like her." He sighed. "You and Enid?" God, he hated saying those words. "I don't know, you tell me." He shrugs before standing up and walking away from him. James looked at him, he sighed. He knew it.
Carl never liked him. He wasn't gay, nor liked boys.
He looks down, feeling anxious and sad. Suddenly, James's thoughts got interrupted as he heard Sasha yell. "That's what you're worried about?!"
