( SEASON 5
EPISODE 11: THE DISTANCE )

JAMES woke up earlier only to change the position they were in. He didn't want to but he also didn't wanna get caught cuddling by Maggie or even Rick. But, now everyone was awake. Carl hasn't spoke to James about the whole cuddling session but James kept questioning himself.

Was he really gay? He couldn't be. But then he could be. "Hey." Maggie spoke. "Everyone..." She opened the barn door. "This is Aaron." A man came in, Sasha behind him. Everyone stands up quickly, some aiming their guns. Daryl quickly got up and walks over to him only to check if he's with anyone.

"We met him outside. He's by himself. We took his weapons and we took his gear." Maggie told them. Everyone looks at him, Aaron had his arms up in the air. Carl and James both glanced at each other.

"Hi."

Judith starts crying, which Carl takes her and calms her down. "It's nice to meet you." The group aims their guns again which made Aaron stop in his tracks. "You said he had a weapon?" Rick questions. Maggie walks up and hands him the gun and Rick checks them for billets.

"There something you need?" Rick asked. "He has a camp nearby. He wants us to audition for membership." Sasha answers for him. "I wish there was another word. Audition makes it sound like we're some kind of a dance troupe. That's only on Friday nights.." Silence was heard only to know that his joke made no one laugh.

"Um, and it's not a camp. It's a community. I think you all would make valuable additions." Aaron smiles slightly. "But it's not my call. My job is to convince you all to follow me back home." He explains. "I know. If I were you, I wouldn't go either. Not until I knew exactly what I was getting into."

Aaron turns to look at Sasha, "Sasha, can you hand Rick my pack?" He asks. She walks towards him and takes off the backpack, handing it to Rick. "Front pocket, there's an envelope."

"There's no way I could convince you to come with me just by talking about our community. That's why I brought those. I apologize in advance for the picture quality. We just found an old camera store last- nobody gives a shit." Daryl snapped. "You're absolutely one-hundred percent right."

Rick opens the envelope, pulling out a picture. "That's the first picture I wanted to show you because nothing I say about our community will matter unless you know you'll be safe." He explained simply. "If you join us, you will be."

"Each panel in that wall is a fifteen foot high twelve foot wide slab of solid steel. Framed by cold-rolled steel beams and square tubing." Aaron says proudly. "Nothing alive or dead gets through that without our say so. Like I said, security is obviously important. In fact, that's only one resource more critical to our community's survival."
