( SEASON 5
EPISODE 3: FOUR WALLS AND
A ROOF )JAMES sat down next to Maggie, they were waiting for the others to come back. "Did you eat?" Maggie asked him which James nodded. He only had beans which was sorta enough to fill him, "promise?" James looked at his sister, "I promise." The two smiled at each other. Finally, Rick and the others came back. Sasha walked quickly up to Gabriel and spoke, "Stop."
"What are you doing?" She asks. Gabriel didn't answer her, he just looked at her confused. "What are you doing?" She repeats, her voice getting sternly. "This is all connected. You show up, we're being watched, and now three of us are gone." She explained. The priest looked confused and shocked, "I....I don't....I don't have anything to do with this."
Knowing Rick, James knew he wouldn't believe him. Sasha pulled out her knife, Rosita tried to stop her but Abraham pulled her back. "don't!" Rosita exclaimed. Both Maggie and James stood up. "Sasha, put it away!" Tyreese commands. "Who's out there?"
"I-I don't have anything...to do with this." Gabriel puts his hands up, easily scared of Sasha pulling her knife on him. "Where are our people?" She asked, getting close to his face. "I don't have anything to- where are our people?!" Sasha screams. "Please, I don't have anything to do with this."
Rick pulled Sasha back, "Why'd you bring us here?" He asked. The scared man nods, "Please, I- you working with someone?" He interrupts. "I'm alone. I'm alone. I'm always alone."
"What about the woman in the food bank, Gabriel? What did you do to her? You'll burn for this." He told him. "That was for you, why? What are you gonna burn for, Gabriel?" Rick questioned again, demanding answers.
Rick holds him by his collar, "What? What did you do?" He exclaimed, getting close to his face. "What did you do?!" He yells. Rick let go and frightened Gabriel finally answered. "I lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. I always-"
He takes a deep breath before looking at Rick, "They started coming, my congregation. Atlanta was bombed the night before and they were scared. They were- they were looking for a safe place, a place where they felt safe." He began. "And it was so early. It was so early."
"And the doors were still locked." He looks down, pausing for a moment. "You see...it was my choice. There were so many of them and they were trying to pry the shutters and banging on the sidings, screaming at me. And so the dead came for them. Women...children." When he said children, Gabriel looked at James and Carl who had shocked facial expressions.
He looks back at Rick. "Entire families calling my name as they were torn apart, begging me for mercy. Begging me for mercy.." At this point he was sobbing, "Damning me to hell."
