Yoongi POV

The whole mansion seems to be in absolute distress and chaos. The Yin's declined the marriage proposal and paparazzi are flooding the place, all wanting a statement from Granddad. He's sitting in the library, rubbing his head and staring intently at the great chess board which lies at the centre of the room. This chess board is one of a kind, the Yin's being the only other people to have such. Each move is carefully plotted on there and it seems as if the blow from us Yang's had deflected straight of the Yin's and hit us again. No piece is ever removed from the board unless a member of either family dies and no piece is ever revived unless a new member is born. I'm represented by the rook on the right side and I've stayed sturdy in the same area ever since birth. I turn a corner and crash right in to a journalist. I get up and see that the whole corridor is a sea of journalists and paparazzi. Running back up to my room, I take my white winter coat and rush outside. The air inside the mansion is stained and the fresh air's just what I need. I would take my horse, Crystal, with me but today I'm just in the mood to stroll around. On second thoughts, I take her out of the stable and bring her along even though I don't ride her just in case paparazzi want anything from me. Suddenly, a black horse rushes passed me, missing me by a mere metre.

"Look where you're going! You almost trampled me over!", I yell.

"As if I'd care.", the mysterious rider shouts back.

Wanting to find out who would have the nerve to speak to me like that, I hoist myself on to Crystal and chase after the black horse, "Stop right there!"

"Oh you'll have to catch me Mister!", the rider turns back and déjà vu hits me. It's Y/N.

"Challenge on.", I make Crystal run as fast as she can, going deep in to the surrounding woods.

If I say so myself, Y/N seems to be a rally good rider. Sharp turns, stable pace, she knows what she's doing. The snow just keeps falling and at one point, it's so heavy that I can barely see. It thins out and I finally catch up with Y/N.

"You seem a little tired. I'll stop for you.", Y/N slows her horse to a halt and lets me approach her.

She's armed with a katana sword, better not mess too much if she has a temper, "I see that you're a brave one.", I pick out my words carefully.

"Brave, you think so?", she chuckles.

"Yeah, almost killing me and then going away thinking it's nothing."

"What would it matter if you're dead? You've barely moved on the chess board Min Yoongi.", she mocked.

"Oh really? And how many moves have you made?", I ask.

"More than you can count. Besides, talking to me like that won't get you anywhere."

"How come?"

"You're a rook, I'm a bishop on the board."

We talk some more, it's not a very long conversation. I find out that she's a similar age to me, in fact a little younger. And she is the famous grandchild of the Yin's. Looks like she won't let herself be moved by an influence on the board, she moves herself. I like that, independent and definitely a threat. A threat I'd like a hand in taking down.

"Now since I've met you, here's a little message you can pass on to your dear family.", she says.

"What?"

"Tell them that the Yin's want me against you this time. It's about time you move around a bit. A tournament of katana fighting, I've heard you're skilled with the sword."

I grimace. Do I really need to be involved in this? "Of course I'll tell them."

"Good, see you next time.", she gives the first genuine smile and then rides away.

Your POV

"Mum?", I call.

"What's is it?", she's in the family living room.

"It's been a while I've made a proper move on the board. I think it's a little bland, some salt and pepper in the game would be nice. I... how do I explain this... let's say I had an unplanned encounter with Min Yoongi. I've challenged him to a tournament of katana fighting. Trust me, this is going to make things a thousand times better.", I explain as a smirk creeps up my face.

She brings me in for a hug, "Sweet girl. You did the right thing."

"I'm going to go now, see you.", I kiss her forehead and then leave.

Going to my own room, I look at my mini version of the great chess board. Moving myself forward diagonally, I place myself to a square closer to the right rook, Min Yoongi. It's a dangerous game to play but one that's worth it. I'll stop at no costs to bring the Yang's down.
