I'd admit it. I made a huge mistake crushing on you. But it wasn't intentional. No siree, it was not, because I do not govern my feelings.
We were friends. Distant, in a way and close, in a way too. We were the kind of friends one would call casual; talked only occasionally.
Then one day, you started showing more interest in me. Like you wanted our friendship to be more than just causal.
You'd messaged me on WhatsApp, something you'd never do, even in a millennia, and in school, you'd approach me to start up a conversation.
Stupid me thought maybe you were interested in me or something.
Apparently, I took it the wrong way. You were just being you, a friendly goofball, and I thought it was something else.
For two terms, I crushed on you. But honestly, it was pointless doing so, because in the second term of senior year, I found out you were still dating your ex, although secretly.
Somehow, you found out I had feelings for you. You'd told me that you liked me, but only as a friend, and you didn't really want to date anyone at the moment 'cause you'd like to focus on your final exams.
I want you to know that I know the real reason you'd told me that. It's because you were already dating someone else, although in secret, like I've already mentioned.
And that got me thinking, why hide the fact that you're dating? Really, if I'd known earlier, I wouldn't have bothered crushing on you in the first place.
But whatever. It doesn't really matter now, does it?
Soon we'd graduate and never see each other again.
I enjoy our friendship though. You always make me laugh and, though I might not have feelings for you anymore, I still fancy you for your sense of humor nonetheless.
Never let go of that.
Yours Truly,
Laughing Pill.____________________________
