A/N

Hi everyone! Sorry for being so inactive, I don't really have any good excuse beside running out of ideas. So give me some more, please😂😂

Anyway, I also found this on my google docs, it's kinda dumb and cringe, but I really need to get something out so, enjoy😂😂

Alexander was in his office, like he always was, writing. He had so much to get done. It was about the middle of the day, and he had only started an hour ago, if he was lucky, he could get done by tonight. He stopped at a soft knock at the door.

"Alexander?" It was his wife, Eliza, in the same soft tone like it was the middle of the night. He turned around to see her holding a letter, a sympathetic expression on her face.

"Eliza?" He was worried. All he could think was something bad happened to one of her family members. He didn't know what he would have done if that would have happened. She sighed and walked farther in, looking up at him.

"It's a letter for you, from General Washington." Her voice sounded hollow. That was strange, they hadn't sent many letters back and forth since he resigned from the presidency. Eliza gave him the letter and he looked it over. She was just about to leave, but he stopped her.

"Wait. Stay with me." She turned to him and smiled. Her smile to him never changed, it was the same smile she had the day they met. She closed the door again and nodded, while Alex opened the letter.

"Dear Alexander,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well. By the time you receive it, I will already be gone. I never told you this, but I have been very sick for a year now. My sweet Martha has been caring for me, but I know my time is running out. I never told you because I never wanted to worry you, but this will be the last letter. Until we meet again son.

Your General, George Washington." Alexander's face dropped. He was dead, and no one told him he was sick? He was so angry and upset that he ripped the envelope into pieces.

"Don't call me son!" He yelled angrily, throwing the shredded envelope on the floor. He started sobbing, clutching the letter like it would just fly away. Thank god Eliza was there, he had no idea what he would do without her. Alexander looked down at the letter, a few tears falling on it.

"Call me son... one more time." He whispered.

Another A/N
