2: One Mistake After Another

It seems as though my first ever day at UA would start off exactly how I didn't plan. I woke up early, got dressed, and finished the unpacking I didn't get to last night. I even skipped dinner out of fear of the other students, so you can imagine I was ready to have something to eat. My hope was I could get there and eat before anyone saw me. But I knew it wasn't something I could avoid forever. I hung my blades on the wall; unfortunately they weren't allowed to be used during in school hero training, but I could take them on any out of school internships or work studies I'd attend. Apparently it was for safety, even though it was a crucial part of my fighting technique. Regardless I chose to see it as an opportunity to learn to fight without them.

But I didn't even make it out of my dorm without bumping into some of my new classmates. I opened my door to three guys, all wide eyed with huge smiles...at this time in the morning? They looked...friendly to say the least.

"Hey!! Oh my gosh you're so tall! Like a...uh..pole! Wow and your face! What happened? Don't tell me, villains. Am I right? Of course I'm right! Anyway I'm-"

"Kirishima-kun, right? The rock hardening quirk. I remember you from the festival," I replied. I didn't want him rambling on about or my face or...anything.

"That's me!! This is Kaminari, and this lil dude is Minetta," then he whispered, "I would stay away from the purple one if you know what's good for you."

"I HEARD THAT!" Minetta yelled in his weird lisp, and I almost visibly cringed.

I tried my best to smile and hide the absolute discomfort I felt. I told them my name and pushed past them, but of course, they followed me. And I had to make awkward small talk all the way down the elevator.

Then I realized things wouldn't be as smooth as I'd thought. Bakugou was angrily eating what looked like a sticky bun and glaring at the floor. When he saw me, that turned into angry confusion.

"Okay, big shot, you need to tell me exactly what went down last night because I *know* I wasn't wasted." He demanded, tossing his food aside.

Kirishima stepped in at the worst moment.

"Yo, what's that supposed to mean? You told me you were going to meet him last night before we left. Isn't that..." He stopped. "I'm just confusing myself." He ran a hand through his wild mess of red spiked hair and sighed.

"You drugged me, didn't you?! YOU DAMN ASSHOLE! TELL ME WHAT YOU DID! ALL I REMEMBER IS GOING TO YOUR ROOM AND THEN YOU SAID I HIT MY HEAD AND TO LEAVE! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!" he had his hands tightly gripping my arms and I could feel the heat radiating on my skin.

He began to shake me and I just closed my eyes. But the fizzling I heard and the searing feeling I felt kicked my fight or flight and I looked him in the eye and... it was over. I quickly got rid of his memory of all previous conversation. Granted, I'm sure it would just confuse him more.

"THE HELL?!" Bakugou blinked hard and shook his head. "HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!"

While he was still dazed, I slipped away and rushed out the door. I knew I would be way too early for class but it was better than back there. As I trod the path, I looked back for a second to see if Bakugou had followed me. Glancing at me from the windows were more students that must've saw what happened. I haven't even met them yet and I'm already off on the wrong foot. That's when I caught a glimpse of messy green hair and turned around before I could meet his eyes. I'm such a screw up. I just needed to lay low, win over my idol's heart, graduate, and become a pro hero. What could be so hard about that? What am I thinking? I just pray it all won't be a nightmare.

  (Note from me:
This chapter probably wouldn't make sense unless you know a little more about Fujigita's quirk, so if you're interested, I'd recommend reading the quirk snippet from the last section. Thank you for reading.
