Chapter 5 : Somewhere I Call Home

The journey didn't take long. There stood a white wooden door still locked.

    Kuroo had placed you down on a porch chair not far from the door. He let out a groan now stretching his arms in the air a little tired from carrying you around everywhere.

   He slipped a hand into his pocket, rummaging through it to find a key. Unlocking the door, he took quick glace at you and then back to the door. It swinged opened releaving the interior of the house.

   "Come in" he gestured to you and Kenma. Kenma had already walked in, taking off his shoes in the process while you tried to getting up with the help of kuroo supporting your right side.

   Limping into the house, you took some time to appreciate the interior, it looked quite fancy. Although, it had a weird empty atmosphere to it as if it had been left alone for a while. Kuroo cautiously placed you next to Kenma on the maroon sofa that had been placed in the middle of the living room. Kenma had made himself comfy on the sofa folding his legs on the sofa while his eyes paid much attention to the game console.

    Your eyes glacing at the little decorations and furniture that filled the house. You were in awe at the little details that were put in but at the same time you couldn't help but think about how solemn the place was.

   Silence filled the room, until a certain boy decided to cut it. "My dad's not home.......he's probably busy again.." He mumbled the last part out. The expression he held was filled with disappointment.

'Why....why does that face look so familiar.' You couldn't help but frown a slightly seeing the boys distorted face.

"Let's get you to the guest room and clean you up before he gets here." He spited out, avoiding your gaze.

   "Huh?" The words shook you out of daze.

   "You're gonna be staying here right? We'll need to convince my dad first tho....." He said, unconsciously rubbing the back of his neck.

    You were once again helped out by Kuroo this time to the guest room. He laid you on the bed and then hastily to some of his extra clothes to the room.

    You only managed to nod at the boys actions since you just realized how dirty your dress was. The white cloth had been stained with dirt probably from sleeping on the ground last night.

    Kuroo was about to leave the room so you could do your own business and clean yourself up but was caught by a small hand that held the cuff of his shirt tightly. "Hey..." You managed to sound out.

"Hmm?.." The boy reflectively turned his head around to catch a glimpse of the girl.

"Why? "

"Why what? "

"That look on your face..... Why do you seem so....." His face tensed at the statement. 'I'm biting off more than I can chew...but...'

"......"

"Nevermind.... forget it..." A slight pause of silence filled the room until someone huffed out a sigh. "Thanks for the clothes..." 'his pitiful expression is just too much for me...'

"Yeah.....come out when you're done we're gonna eat at Kenma's house" The black haired boy mumbled out turning himself again towards the direction of the door, opening it.

"Don't worry! I won't take long rooster head!!!!" You chuckled while rushing him out the door.

"Maybe this isn't as bad as I thought.." The roster head boy mumbled, placing a tender smile on his face. His back leaned on the door outside of the girls room.
