Izuku was a nervous wreck. It had been a couple weeks since the entrance exam and he had nervously been awaiting the results. Pretty much everyday Izuku would be found pacing the lengths of his living room. Sure, his friends had been distracting him but he couldn't help it ok?
Sometime during the week, Izuku had been convinced to call Shinsou Hitoshi. When prompted for the story by Mei, Izuku just shrugged. He honestly had no idea how it happened. The most likely conclusion that Izuku came to was c a t s. Probably bribed when he was half asleep covered in them.
Anyways, Izuku was once again walking up and down his house. Mei and Hitoshi had already received their letters and came over to open them together. Izuku on the other hand, hadn't received his yet. So, he just walked, looking out the window occasionally to see if the postman came.
Mei and Hitoshi worriedly looked at him. It had been about four hours after all. Both had tried countless times to make him stop but it was no use. Izuku just kept going.
Without warning, Izuku stopped at the window. His eyes were wide as a small smile formed on his lips. He shared a glance at his friends as he ran out the apartment, returning moments later with a bulky envelope in his hands.
"Who's gonna go first!" Mei suddenly screeched.
"Mei don't be so loud! Do you want to burst our eardrums?!" Izuku quickly responded.
Before a heated argument could break out, Hitoshi spoke up. "I'll just do mine first ok?"
He grumbled something under his breath before ripping open his letter. It took a moment but a small frown formed on his face.
"I-" he began, frown becoming more prominent, "I didn't make it. At least I'm in general education. That counts for something right?"
"Hitoshi. You do realise that you can still make it into the hero course right?" Izuku responded, looking at Hitoshi's shocked expression. "You know, Eraserhead was originally in Gen-Ed too. He transferred through the sports festival after winning it. I plan on trying if I don't make it into the hero course."
Hitoshi grimaced. It would be hard but he could make it work.
"Oh oh oh! Me next!" Mei yelled once again. She quickly opened her letter, a metal disk falling out. It lit up, showing the exhausted face of Powerloader, a support teacher at U.A.
-Insert Majima saying that Mei is in the support course cause I can't be bothered to write it rn-
All three occupants of the room grinned like madlads as the projector turned off. To start with Mei chuckled like the evil genius she was. The boys followed shortly after, both out of the hilarity of Mei and the relief of her getting in.
After a good five minutes they stopped.
"Mei I'm so happy for you!" Izuku smiled, giving her a hug.
"I'm happy for me too!" Mei grinned.
"Ladies ladies you're both beautiful." Hitoshi began. " Izuku, it's your turn now. Frankly I just want to see what you got with all the hacking the robots and stuff lol."
Izuku smiled at his antics as he reached for his letter.Taking a deep breath, he opened the letter.
Once again a small disk came out. This time however, it showed the large grin Of Nezu, U.A's principal. The three friends waited for the mammal to speak.
"Am I a dog, a bear or a mouse? It doesn't matter because I'm the principal of U.A! Now I'm sure you're wondering what you got for your exam and I'm here to tell you! For your written portion you received full marks! Very impressive if I do say so myself.
As for the practical portion, I was very impressed. Honestly, I am very surprised that you managed to make it into the U.A database. In all my years of teaching you have been the first to do that. As for your score, you manage to get a grand total of 420 points, Making you the highest scoring examinine as well as setting the school's new record!
Not only that, but I would like to extend an offer to you. I would like you to become my personal student. Now, I'll tell you that this will not be easy. It is to push you further after all. I'll leave the choice to you though but, I expect an answer on the first day of school.
Welcome to your Hero Academia!"
Izuku Sat there awestruck. He, the quirkless who everyone had doubted, placed first in the hero exams for the best hero school in Japan. A grin tugged at his lips. He'd done it. He'd proved them all wrong.
Izuku could tell from the shaking of his shoulders that he was either crying or being violently shaken by Mei and Hitoshi. To be honest, it was likely both. It was just in his ✨𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓇𝓂𝒾𝓃𝑔✨ tsundere personality, apathetic but emotional.
He was right though, as he was suddenly snapped out of his daze by Hitoshi's worried face. "You good bro?" He questioned.
"Yeah... I guess? My whole life is kinda in pieces right now. Come back once I've glued it back together with the superglue of spite."
The room was filled with laughter as Hitoshi 'helped' gather Izuku's life. Mumbling out a thank you, Izuku spoke up.
"I think I am gonna accept Nezu's offer."
Mei and Hitoshi looked at each other, a brief look of despair flashing through their eyes.
"The world is doomed?" Hitoshi questioned.
"The world is doomed." Agreed Mei.
