Being hit by a building isn't fun

Shouta was just minding his own business (Napping) when he was called over to Ground Beta because Bakugou decided to make a building collapse. To be completely honest, Shouta just wants to know how you unintentionally make a building collapse. All hands were on deck for the rescue (aka all the heroes that didn't have any classes at the moment) They even enlisted Thirteen, who was all the way at the USJ.

And you wanna know the worst part? Izuku was the one who apparently 'caused' the building to fall. Bakugou had defended himself saying; "Oh that? Yeah, it's the nerd's fault. I told him to dodge but he didn't so he hit one of the pillars in there." Which honestly is just a stupid excuse.

Bakugou then went on to explain that he blasted the rubble before he could get hit. Hence why he was already out of all of it. And frankly, Shouta wanted to murder him. Or, at the very lest, bury him under the rubble.

So Shouta was spending his afternoon digging around in the rubble to find his students. Uraraka was found pretty easily as she had started floating the rubble when the building first gave way. Luckily, she was relatively unharmed.

After about five more minutes they found Iida. Since the 'bomb' was located on one of the top floors they didn't need to pull off too much rubble to find him. He was lucky enough to have gained some sort of shelter from some of the sturdy pillars caving in around him. Once again, he was mostly unharmed from it all.

Both Iida and Uraraka received a quick kiss from Recovery Girl and were sent back to the class 1A classroom.

Now, the one person they were all having trouble finding was Izuku. Eventually after half an hour, they decided to enlist the help of Jirou, one of Shouta's students. She literally has earbuds for ears. (Damn she can never use airpods-)

Jirou stuck her earbuds into the rubble, closing her eyes to listen. A habit that Shouta was going to change. She could fall victim to surprise attacks so easily if she continues doing that. It didn't take long before she locked onto a heartbeat buried deep within the rubble.

She sounded frantic when she told them, explaining how soft it sounded after pointing them in the right direction of Izuku. Thirteen led the rescue, disintegrating the loose rubble. After a solid five minutes of the tedious work, they saw him.

Now, Izuku did not look good.

It was clear that he'd hit his head at some point if the blood pouring from his head was anything to say. His legs were pinned by a large piece of debris while one of his arms was bent at a strange angle. Burns littered his body, having burnt through most of the top part of his hero costume (Which Shouta was going to force him to improve.).

Shouta called out for the aid of the other teachers. Thirteen got to work on disintegrating the large piece of debris while the others got to work moving the small pieces around the small frame of the child. At least an air pocket sort of formed

Eventually, they released Izuku from the urban prison he was stuck in, all parties being careful not to jostle his injuries. They (Carefully) rushed him out into a clear patch of city. In the light he looked much paler than he did before.

Recovery Girl started to assess the damage done before strapping some gauze around Izuku's head. She quickly splinted both legs and an arm before ordering him to be put on the stretcher. She grumbled something along the lines of 'we need to invest in a medical car' before sending the robots towards the infirmary.

Shouta followed behind Recovery Girl.

He hoped Izuku was ok.

---

Flashes of memories came to Izuku . He remembers learning that All Might was his heroics teacher. Remembers the whole quirkist fiasco and calling Nezu but then it's blank. Did he black out before the exercise? Was he dead? Betcha Bakugou did it.

But the only reason Izuku figures out that he is in fact not dead is all the pain he was feeling.

The pain was unbearable. He had a horrible headache and his legs were burning. He felt as though something was constricting his breathing and his arm had a steady ache in it.

After spending some time laying in the abyss of consciousness, Izuku decided to try and pry his eyes open. It was kinda hard with the whole, far too tired but way too awake feeling he had. Eventually they did open but he was met with a blinding light.

He winced as he forced his eyes shut once again. Izuku heard the tell-tale signs of rustling clothes come closer to where he was lying. At first, the sounds that the mysterious figure made sounded garbled but then his ears adjusted, hearing every second or third one.

"Izuku... -ear me?" They spoke. "-o bright?"

Izuku let a small nod at the bright comment, just hoping that the pain he was feeling would reside.

"-zuku, the lights have been dimmed, you can open your eyes now." and this time, the words actually sounded like a sentence!

Izuku slowly opened his eyes, this time being met with a much softer light. He looked around for the figure that was talking to him, hoping to see who it was only to be stopped by a warm hand. Izuku leaned into the touch, moving his eyes up to look at the attached body.

"Hey kid," Aizawa said softly. Despite that, it still sounded very loud in Izuku's opinion. "You were in an incident in training. You're fine now but you need to rest. I can tell you're an insomniac just like me so you need all the rest that you can get before Recover Girl can heal you more."

Izuku made a sound of acknowledgement before drifting back into his subconsciousness.
