Uncle Lamar
I didn't get much sleep last night.
It doesn't matter I still have places to be.
I walk down to the training centre. I decided to go early. I need to run. I need to feel the air whip past me as I cut through it.
Right as I walk in the building the sound system scares the crap out of me.
"Isabella you are three hours early and look horrible... why!"
I groan at the voice. I switch my shoes and I run up the stairs skipping three at a time.
"Lamar was that necessary?" I glare at the middle-aged man.
"You decided to be the first girl here." He shrugs.
Hold up, "you said first girl, not first person. Whose here?"
"Mar is going off on the ropes, I guess you can start your training with him early. And please no kissing it breaks the cameras." He says sarcastically.
It was one time move on!
"He's here?"
"Yes I said his name or do you want me to repeat myself Amarion actually left the ropes he's going to the track upstairs." Lamar points are the surveillance screen.
"Not if I get there first! I'm going to kill him if he dare gets near me." I seethe.
"Izzy-" I drown Lamar's voice out, running out the room to the track.
The training centre has four floors. The first floor is the reception, therapy and recovery floor. The second floor was the gym and the main office. The third floor was the track. And the fourth floor was the courts. Basketball, tennis, volleyball and such. If people weren't inside, they were outside on the outdoor track or the field.
I dash up those stairs. And ran down the track making it seem as if I was there first.
When I hit the two hundred meter mark I stop to catch a breath. Thank God, I stretched at the motel before coming here.
"Iz?" I'm not going to look at him.
I jog around the rest of the track and dashed past Amarion.
He is a faster dasher than me. He caught up to me in no time. I take a sharp turn going back the other way on the track. And he does the same. He grabs my hand. All I see is red.
"Get your filthy hands off of me you bastard!" I side kick him in his core.
He just gets back up. "Izzy listen to me."
I hate him. My voice breaks on me, "I trusted you. That was my mistake. You started this war and I will fight you until you feel nothing. You broke out my fighter and that is your mistake."
In a flash, Amarion caresses my face and kisses me. Wrong choice of action. It ignited my rage. I lift my knee at full force and next thing you know he's on the ground clutching his balls.
"Jackson I'm going to approach you don't kill me." Lamar probably saw all of that and came to help. But I'm not the one who needs help.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Lamar." I walk up to him and hug him. He is like my uncle. He was close to my parents when I was younger. He got me into the mindset of a track star.
Lamar hugs me back. "Hey, was he trying to make you do something you didn't want to?"
"Yes." He was indeed trying to make me do something I didn't want to.
"Lamar I didn't she's lying!" Amarion yells from the ground as an angered Lamar gets closer to him.
"Boy, Isabella Jackson doesn't lie."
"Iz tell him the truth!" I've never seen him so scared before.
I smirk at the situation.
"Isabella I'm assuming you broke up with him."
I nod. "Slept in a motel last night."
Lamar glares at Amarion who was still on the floor. "You let my baby girl sleep in a motel last night? It's her condo not yours!"
"I begged her not to leave I couldn't stop her."
No way he said he couldn't stop me. "You could've stopped the whole situation! If I didn't come home early last night were you going to act like you didn't do anything wrong!" I shout.
"Izzy what did he do?"
"He slept with Stella in my bed. The power was out in the building. They didn't know I came home. I sat in my room waiting for one of them to say it was wrong but no! They only stopped when the power turned back on and Amarion saw me sitting at my vanity!"
"Stella came on to me! The power went out. My phone died and someone came home. I assumed it was you and I was in your room waiting for you. She came on to me. She kissed me and I thought it was you I couldn't see but I touched her hair. She has braids and you have weave. I pushed her away from me and she convinced me otherwise."
"It takes two to tango."
I grab my bag and leave. I go up to the fourth floor and play around with a basketball.
I should've picked dance.
Who am I kidding I didn't choose running.
Running chose me.
So I decided that I will be updating this book on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is going to be a crazy ride.
I can't wait.
