Party girl
Joey and I woke in a very different position from where we started.
I was up against his chest and his arm draped over me.
I woke up first, I was wondering why I was up against something so tough. I tried pushing whatever it was away from me.
Then I opened my eyes and I was face to face with this man's chest. Then Joey wakes up and we both fall off the bed separating ourselves from each other.
"We don't speak about this." We say to each other.
Joey ditched me today so I'm following Lola around.
"So Izzy, have you found someone to go to the party with?" Lola asks. We are currently in her room, hanging around.
"Yeah, I got a new friend of mine to go with me." I grin.
Her next question makes me regret my decision of going to this party, "so what are you wearing."
"Uhh, can I wear a tee and shorts?"
"You can if your tee is cropped and the shorts are made of denim. Which I know they are not. Come on you can borrow something of mine."
I sit on her bed as she roams through her closet.
"How about these?" She lifts up a tube top and booty shorts.
"Less revealing please?" I cringe.
Next, she pulls out a skin-tight black long sleeves dress that ends mid-thigh made from suede.
I shake my head, "I'll sweat out of that."
After, she pulls out a red dress? Well, I think it's a dress. It's off the shoulders. Exposes my collarbone. There's a piece of ruffled material that surrounds the neckline and sleeves. It's a skin-tight piece of clothing that looks almost like a bodysuit. But it has a trail that wraps around the waist and exposes my left leg altogether. Yet it doesn't expose too much, the left side of the bodysuit part goes down to my high thigh.
It is a beautiful article of clothing.
"Lo, this is breathtaking. But there's no way I could wear something like this. It'll attract too many eyes." I tell her.
"I have the same dress in white." She pulls it out and I fall in love.
"This is the one." I beam.
"I'm glad you like it. Now let's see what we can do about your hair."
We walk down the street to Elena's salon.
It is packed, I'm surprised Lola found a place for me.
Lola washes and blows out my hair. She braids my hair into straight back cornrows and puts a 28-inch wig on my head.
"Lola I don't think I can manage hair this long." I start to get nervous.
"Don't worry let me work my magic. When I'm done this wig won't move an inch." She says as she proceeds to clip and glue down the long wig.
We get back to the Easterbrook home and Lola ordered me to put on the dress. She puts me in a robe and puts makeup on me. A natural glam look with glitter on my eyes.
"Lo, you are unbelievable." I pull her into a hug. I barely recognize myself. The last time I wore a dress I was four dancing in the Nutcracker ballet. Actually that was the last time I willingly wore a dress. Amarion and Lamar forced me to go to prom.
I enter my room and grab my wallet just in case.
Then I go back to Lola to see how she's getting ready.
