A smile appeared on both Kenma's and Kuroo's faces, "Damn- I don't know who's gonna be more wrapped to see you." Kuroo said crossing his arms.
Hinata sat there with crossed legs on the bed, "Wait- so who am I gonna see?" He asked, Kenma and Kuroo looked at each other with questionable expressions then turning back to Hinata and shrugging at the same time. "Guess we'll have to see who's free." Kenma said as he took a hair tie off his wrist and started to tie his lengthy hair.
"Mmh, but since the holidays are coming up soon, I'm sure almost everyone would he free off work and all that." Kuroo said as Kenma hummed in response, the room fell silent for a bit, "Are you sure you're ready to see everyone again? I mean, you had a decent reason for leaving, wasn't it hard to lose contact with everyone and only now getting back together- even if you know what is soon?" Kenma said as the tone in his voice died down and saddened.
Kuroo sat there confused at Kenma's words but Hinata on the other hand knew exactly what he was talking about. "Well, yeah- it was hard to just leave you all behind and coming back out of nowhere will definitely be harder..." Hinata said, he started to fiddle with the hem of his hoodie, "Well- whenever you're ready and besides, it's only me and Kenma that know about you and all this hospital jazz." Kuroo said.
The three had conversations on many different topics until a knock was heard from the door, "Hinata Shoyo, it's me, Nurse Jackie." The voice said, Hinata yelled for her to come in and when she opened the door, her eyes widened from the surprise of seeing two visitors.
"Are you Shoyo's friends?" She asked kindly, the two nodded their heads as the young woman continued to walk further into the room, "That's nice to know that someone is actually visiting him, I just need to do a quick check up and I'll be on my marry way." She added, Kenma and Kuroo then got into their own conversation as Nurse Jackie asked Hinata a few questions.
"Did you take your medication this morning?" She asked, Hinata hummed in response as he watched her tick something off on the paper, "Do you feel anything? As in- do you feel drowsy, exhausted?" She said, "No, I feel fine." He replied, "Okay, that'll be all for today, any questions?" Hinata looked up at the nurse and looked her directly in the eyes.
"Am I allowed to go out as long as I come back?" Hinata asked, Nurse Jackie looked at him for a moment before humming with a confused expression, "I'm sure you're aloud out but I'll have to double check with the doctor first, I will be back soon with your answer." The nurse smiled at Hinata and then walked out of the room leaving the three alone again.
"Hopefully it'll be a yes." Hinata said to himself, "Ay! We're so close." Kuroo said as excitement covered his face, "Kuroo- calm down a bit." Kenma said harshly, "You got a headache?" He asked, "Yes I do, now just shut up for a bit and don't talk to me." Kenma stood up from the bed and sat in the chair that was placed near the window.
Hinata looked at Kuroo with confusion and which the older male noticed, "Kenma gets random headaches every now and again, he'll get really moody so we just let him be, he should be fine and about a few minutes." Hinata let out an 'oh' and reached out for his book from before.
"Watcha reading?" Kuroo asked, "The Hunger Game, Catching Fire." Hinata said as he opened to the bookmark, "Oh, you into that series?" Kuroo adjusted his his shirt as he waited for Hinata to respond, "Yeah, I guess so." The ginger replied.
The room was silent but it wasn't uncomfortable, Kenma managed to fall asleep in the chair in the matter of a few minutes, Kuroo was staring blankly out the window and Hinata was reading his novel that was gifted to him from his mother.
But the silence broke as Kuroo opened his mouth, "Hey, what about Natsu? How's she doing?" Kuroo asked, Hinata stopped reading as he bit his lip, "I'm not sure actually, she comes to visit sometimes but when she does, our conversations are dry and awkward." Hinata couldn't focus on his book anymore so he placed the bookmark on the current page and looked at Kuroo after he set the book next to him.
"Ah- do you know why?" Kuroo said, Hinata shook his head, "I'm not sure, we just became distant after a certain incident." Kuroo looked at the ginger weirdly, "That must suck, you guys seemed close too." He said, "Yeah we were." Hinata smiled to himself as he remembered the stupid things they would do together.
Kuroo noticed Hinata's small smile and couldn't help but smile himself, he was glad that Kenma found the person everyone has been missing.
