I woke disorientated again. My body ached all over especially my back and the side of my face. The blinding hospital lights caused my eyes to blink several times before opening them to see the blur faces of nurses and doctors.
"You will heal in about a week, then your eyesight will return." A doctor said in his gruff voice.
"What!?" I lamented while still seeing everything blur as a headache started to form. I closed my eyes and laid back down. I didn't think he would get me medical attention much less admit me to a hospital.
Suddenly, the chatter which was filled the room and the constant bicker of doctor's was silenced when someone entered the room trailing in with extreme power and authority on it's tail.
I pretended to sleep and it seemed like the nurses were on my side as they said to him that i was sleeping again as the exhaustion took over and i passed out.
"Get out all of you" he said in his deep baritone voice making me weak in the knees. They scrambled out of the door like ants running from fire. I felt his breath fan over my ear and the nape of my neck as he whispered, "I know you're awake, my little mate"
I slowly opened my eyes and looked towards him, his figure blurry. For once fear and confusion in my eyes i asked, "Why are you doing this to me?"
"Well it's story time isn't it?, you know my parents loved me as i was the only child and having no sibling had many benefits. The pack and everyone loved me as i was the future perfect little Alpha. One day my parents took me to park as it was usual day for us during the weekend, i was on the swings when a little girl with brown eyes and brown hair," he paused and looked at me intently and then continued, "It was you, you used some kind of power which had me blinded in one eye and the pack labelled me as a disgrace, unable to fit to rule as Alpha. But here am i, i defeated all 150 alpha's at the tournament and achieved the title of alpha king. Now i rule over 200 packs all over the world under my supervision, and you my little mate are the queen in their eyes and a mere peasant and a pest in my eyes" he said while looking in my eyes which had me shuddering in fright.
"Once you heal, you'll be taken back into the cells to be tortured again and this will continue until the day you die." He said grinning creepily at me while petting my hair. "Why do this, when u can mate with anyone you want, why waste your time on me?!"
He laughed throwing his head back and for one moment it looked genuine but i know it wasn't. "Only you, my true mate can give me more power, the power i need to become stronger and more powerful. You will gave me heirs whether you want or not."
I kept quiet and chose not to retort with any smart remark as it would only further cause him to injure me which i cannot afford at the moment. I turned to the side and pretended to sleep as i was exhausted from the constant bickering of this mental piece and i think the blind eye was well deserved.
"You will regret ignoring me-" i cut him off as i had enough now and i wanted to sleep and no one disturbs my sleep.
I mean, priorities right?
I turned towards him and shouted in his face, "Can u leave me alone for some hours and allow me to rest? Get the fuck out before i bash your against this metal bed!" I said while clutching my head as the headache was so painful, dark spots become to show in my eyes.
I looked at him to see if i made a grave mistake by saying that but instead i saw a flicker of concern in his eye which vanished as soon as it came. He stood up and grabbed my by the arms saying he would later make me pay for my words but right now i had to sleep and heal the wounds he inflicted upon me and sleep i did.
