The Change Chapter 15-Getting Closer

Thursday September 14th

We headed for school holding hands and laughing. It was like nothing could ruin this moment. Tomorrow was Dedricts birthday,and the day I would become a full-blood vampire.

The day flew by in no time. Soon me and Dedrict were heading back to my house.
I unlocked the door and walked in.
"So what do you want to do?".
I asked Dedrict.
"Well I was going to make supper".
He replied with a smile.
"Really"?. I said with excitement in my voice.
I asked.
"Yeah".
He said.
"Umm actually can we talk first Dedrict"?.
"Yeah,we can talk".
He said with a look of concern.
I grabbed his hand and lead him to the living room.He held my hand tightly like he would never let go.
He sat down on the couch.
I sat down on his lap. I looked him in the eyes and put my head on his chest.
At first he seemed confused,but then he wrapped his arms around me. He held me so close I could hear hear his heartbeat.
"Angel what's wrong"?. He looked at me with worried eyes.
"I'm scared Dedrict".
I said.
"Why are you scared Angel"?. He was rubbing my back trying to comfort me.
"I'm scared about turning into a vampire Dedrict".
I hadn't realized it but I was crying.
He lifted my chin with his finger and looked me in the eyes.
"And why is that"?. He asked me.
"I'm afraid that I'll lose control of myself".
He leaned in close and then his lips were on mine. I blushed a lot at first but then I closed my eyes and enjoyed it.
We broke apart and he looked at me.
"You will never lose control Angel, not as long as you have enough blood".
"But how will I know if I've had enough blood". I asked.
"Easy your eyes will turn red when you need blood and when you've had enough they'll return back to there normal colour". He replied.
"Okay".
I said.
I got up from the couch and went into the kitchen. Dedrict followed me. "Wanna help me make dinner"?.
He asked me.
"Yeah,sure".
"Great,we're making spaghetti".
"Okay".
We had fun making the spaghetti together.
Soon we were sitting at the table eating.
"Well I'm full".
Dedrict said.
"Me to".
He went and put the dishes in the sink.
"Well what now"?. I asked.
"Well you should probably get a good nights rest for tomorrow".
He said.
"Okay".
I replied.
I went to head for the stairs when Dedrict caught me by my wrist.
He leaned in for another kiss. It was soft and comforting. We broke apart and he kissed me on the forehead.
"Goodnight my Angel".
He said.
"Goodnight,Dedrict".
I lightly kissed his lips. And he kissed back.
We broke apart and I went upstairs to go to bed. But I felt scared and alone without Dedrict being beside me.
I went to the top of the stairs.
"Dedrict"?.
"Yes"?.
"Could you maybe stay with me until i fall asleep"?.
I asked.
"Of course I can,Angel".
He replied.
"I'll be up in a minute".
He said.
I went and changed out of my clothes and put on my black shorts and a red tank top again. Lately the weathers been more warmer.
I brushed my teeth and crawled into bed.
I heard a knock on my door.
"You can come in".
He opened the door and walked over to my bed. He layed down beside me. He lightly stroked my cheek,enough to make me blush.
I felt asleep in no time with him there.
Before I knew it Dedrict had already left.
