Monika x reader || The Sun Shining Through Your Days

A/U: This is before the club was formed 

You have shared most of your classes with Monika ever the first year of high school. You two didn't really hang out a lot except maybe occasional group work or study sessions. But you have this... weird feeling every time you're with her or just looking at her. Sometimes she would notice and smile at you. You would turn around going red with different kinds of thoughts overlapping each other. Yeaaaah it's a crush alright. Damn she's so-

"Y/N PAY ATTENTION!" You snap back into reality. Everyone's giggling and the teacher looks frustrated. Monika's giggling as well. You think about how cute it is. You wish to dream some more but you have to keep on figuring out what the powerhouse of the cell is.

It's after school. You make your way through the halls but stop to see Monika in one of the English classes. She spots you. "Oh y/n great timing!" She grabs your arm and pulls you into the club room. You ask what she was doing still in school and not rushing home to study. "Well... I hope to start a club! I have an interest in literature and it would be nice to try and get people to appreciate it more. Poems are so fascinating and can conjure up so many feelings-" It was hard for you to listen to what she was saying. You were just drawn deep into her bright green eyes that illuminate when she talks about her interest. "Um....y/n?" Monika was looking concerned. "You look a little....red...", you touch your cheek and you can feel the heat rushing through. You look down in embarrassment. Her expression turns into a smile, then a giggle, then a laugh. "Hahahah, Y/n am I that interesting to listen to?", you can see that she has a faint blush on her cheeks. "So uuuuuh.... do you wanna.... help me organise?", you kinda had to head home but you didn't want to leave her sad. So you said sure. Monika's eyes light up with delight.

From around 4 to 5, the two of you spent time organising club stuff. You had a few laughs along with you trying to flirt. It was pretty cringy but she seemed flattered. "Aaah nice and organised. It may seem tricky but it gives you a relaxing feeling in the end." It definitely seemed that she had her life together all the time. That was another thing you liked about her. You didn't want to go home now. You didn't want this nice time hanging with Monika to end. So you popped the question. "Can I.... walk you home?", as soon as you finished, Monika was already ready to get going with you. She was beaming as the two of you walked down the empty hallways with the last bit of sun shining through.

You now think that Monika is like the sun shining through on your days.
