'Intelligence alone is not nearly enough when it comes to acting wisely.'

John had decided that they have brunch at his place, so he texted that he was going to pick her up after he was done with his shower.

He laughed as he put his iron in his golf bag. He always loved golfing. It was peaceful and quiet, but he didn't mind cutting it short to spend some time with Roisin. He grabbed his bag and walked to the cart when his phone rang.

'What the craic, Rhys?'

'So, what happened?' John was confused. 'Come on, Johnny, I know you're hiding something. What happened with the Irish girl?' John blushed.

'N-nothing, nothing happened.' He thought back on that night, everything happened: Dinner, talking, arguing, more talking, and then, cunnilingus. She tasted so sweet, like grapefruit and roses. He could hear Rhys grinning over the phone.

'I know you're lyin', John. Just tell me what juicy stuff happened with the girl.' John sighed.

'A gentleman never kiss and tells,' he says with a grin as he sits in the drivers seat of the cart.

'Look, sham, I know you did somethin' with her that night. You dumped that Amanda woman for this Irish girl...how old is she?'

'Twenty three,' John sighed as he thought about the age gap.

'So, a seven-about-to-be-eight year age gap, uh? How are you going to tell her that it's your 30th birthday, next week? Does she even know how old you are?'

'No and I don't want her to know. She just simply won't come to the party that I know you guys are going to throw, because you throw me one every year.' He knew he was being cruel. She told him a lot of things about her, but he was afraid of her reaction once she found out his age. Was eight years really that bad?

'John, I think that's a bad idea,' Rhys sighed.

'Why?'

'Because you tend to get in a mood and you might drunk call her. She's going to find out about your birthday one way or another. If she kept her birthday from you, wouldn't you be mad?'

'Yes, but—'

'Then, don't do the same to her! John, I'm sure if she really likes you, she'll look past the age difference.'

'Hey, Rhys?'

'Hmm?'

'Something did happen that night,' he sighed. 'She'd slept over and in the middle of the night, after I came back from the jacks, she'd muttered the most horrible thing in her sleep.'
