Hidden book 2: Start of an Adventure (Klance)

Five

~Shiro's POV~
"We'll be freeing planet Tyreda of the Galra Empire. The planet is far from any other Galra occupied planets, so if we do this right, they'll lose a planet without knowing, at least for a while." I say to the group through the microphone. "Does everybody remember their jobs?"

"Hack the bots to turn them to our side," Pidge says dutifully.

"Save the Tyredians and let them escape while the Galra stay here." Hunk says.

"Fight the Galra," Keith and Lance say at the same time.

"Right, lets go." I order and we land our lions.

I stand in front of the lions with my bayard. Ready to attack any Galra that get too close to the ship.

~Keith's POV~
Lance and I run into the building we know is full of Galra. My ears back, I hate the empire, my parents fled from it as soon as they started getting Crypts.

I shudder at the thought of such creatures. They can't reproduce, and have six arms and six eyes. Nobody knows why they exist, or what their weaknesses are.

Lance pulls out his gun, "Come on Keith, focus." Lance says quietly.

I notice that a couple Galra are coming closer to us. I pull out my sword and wait for them to turn the corner. When they do, I stab one of them, while Lance shoots the other.

~time skip to after they fought most of the Galra~

We open the last door in the building, and my heart sinks. There standing in front of us, is a Crypt.

It's six eyes look us over, and it grins maliciously. It's cosmic hair flowing as a sword appears in all six of it's arms. I grab Lance's wrist and run towards the ships.

"What the heck is that thing?!" He yells.

"A crypt, Pidge will have to look it up to see if it has any weaknesses."

I know the crypt is right behind us as we run. Lance glances back to see our running on the walls.

We run faster as we greet outside the ship. Hunk, Pidge and Shiro look over at us running. Shiro's eyes widen, "Pidge! Look up Crypt!"

Lance and I stop running seeing Hunk and Shiro pull out their bayards. We start fighting relentlessly, but to no avail. Then Pidge calls out, "The spot in between the middle eyes is the only weaknesses I can find!" And pulls out her own bayard.

~Lance's POV~
I try to shoot the center of the eyes, but it saw me, and quickly got out of the way.

No matter what we did it has the upper hand. It's fast, good with the swords, and smarter than I expected. I glance around and notice the bushes nearby.

I run over to them, thinking, please don't catch me. But it dreams to not even notice. Then Hunk yells, "Where's Lance!"

"I don't know, he kinda just vanished!" Pidge says worriedly.

I don't speak through the mic, but instead, aim and shoot. I hit it exactly where I need to. It drops it swords, letting out an awful screeching noise, and rubs its face.

I jump out of the bushes and everybody runs to the Crypt and attacks from all angles. It drops to the ground, dead.

"Why did you say I disappeared?" I ask Pidge while we're flying our lions back to the ship.

"Well one second you're beside me fighting, then the next you're gone. What would you say?"

"Wait, have you learned to turn invisible?" Shiro asks through the mic.

"What? Invisible? What are you talking about?" I ask confused.

"Alteans can become invisible, along with their clothes and whatever they're holding, at will." Keith explains.

"I can do that?! Why didn't anybody tell me?!"

"Thought Allura had, and was teaching you." Shiro says simply.

"Well she hasn't been, is there any other cool powers I have?"

Keith says, "Allura might've had a reason for not telling you, so we'll let her tell you."

I land back on the ship and immediately go looking for her. I find her in the control room, she turns around, now facing me. "Hi, Lance! I heard over the mic, you went invisible, that's great!"

"Why didn't you tell me I could do that!" I try not to yell.

"I thought the lions, family, bayards, war and everything else was enough to earn about."

"No, these powers could really come in handy during battles, like sneaking up on that crypt just now. How many powers do Alteans even have?

She counts them out on her fingers as she goes through, "Invisibility, healing, energy transferring-" she cuts off putting out a fourth finger, "There's no other thing."

"Really?" I ask skeptically. She nods, "Well. you'll have to teach me how to do the others."

She smiles, "I will."

Pidge comes in the control room in her normal clothes again, a juice box in hand. Allura seems to jump a bit, her face a little red. "W-well, thank you L-Lance, I-I'll be on my way then." She walks out of the room, and Pidge sighs.

I wiggle my eyebrows at Pidge, "Does somebody have a crush~" I tease.

She turns red for a moment but smiles, replying, "Yea, you."

I tilt my head, "On who?" I ask her.

"Keith~" My face gets warm when she says that.

"What about me?" Keith asks walking in the room. How much of that did he hear?

"Nothing." Pidge says smirking at me, I cover my face with my hands.

"Well, I was just gonna ask Lance if he wanted to come train with me, but you an come if you want," Keith offers Pidge.

"No, I've got to talk to Coran. You two can go without me." She smiles maliciously at me. Keith nods to her and he and I walk to the training room together.
