2 weeks after the Nightstalker incident.
It's been two weeks since the incident, Ray still wants us to stay at his flat but I insisted.
He helped us fix our broken door and installed double locks.
"Hey, thanks," I told Ray, giving him a cheeky smile. He was a good friend.
"Nah, it's not a problem" Ray answered with a smile. "You want to grab some ice cream?" He asked.
"Sure! I love Ice cream" I answered, like a kid.
"Hey, can you guys order me strawberry mint?" Montana yelled from the kitchen.
"Sure, babe!" I answered, then playfully pushed Ray out of the house.
Ray and I walked our way to the ice cream shop.
"So how's your cut?" Ray asked as we both entered the shop.
"It's already okay." I lift my hand and showed him my healed wrist. "But still stings like shit," I said, chuckling.
"What's your order?" The grumpy woman asked.
I and Ray stared at each other and then chuckled before giving her our order.
"I'd like cookies and cream with-" I was cut off when a man appeared at my side. His scent was familiar, and that brought me back to some memories I would die to go back to repeatedly.
"Hi lady, not to be rude but I asked for cookies and cream with chocolate sprinkles and marshmallows but you gave me vanilla with chocolate sprinkles" He interrupted.
I was shocked when I saw a very familiar man, he was much more handsome than before but still smells the same.
He then looked at me and back at the lady, then looked back at me again with a shocked expression on his face.
"Ellie?" Xavier asked, then he smiled. "Are you feeling okay now?" He asked again.
"Uhm," I ignored him then looked back at the lady. "I want a different one, I will have a strawberry mint instead," I said. Ray felt the tension around the room so he placed his hand on my shoulder to let me know that it was alright and he was here. Xavier's eyes were glued to where Ray's hands. I looked away again biting my lips.
"You can go and take a sit, I will get the orders," Ray told me. I did what he told me and ignored Xavier.
I took a sit and saw Ray and Xavier having a conversation. Xavier was looking at me and then back at Ray. Xavier's jaws tightened the same as his fist. I could surely see Xavier's hint of anger.
