Aimie's POV:
We were on a trail. It was raining. But it just kept going harder and harder, so we took refuge under a bridge. She took a blanket out of her full pack, and spread it on a small concrete patch that guarded the big machine that was underneath. There were still leaves from who knows how many autumns ago. There were rocks under where I was sitting, but I didn't care. It was enough to be here with her. Her wet hair that had fallen out of the clip she wore to keep it back was stuck to her flushed cheeks. "I love you, Addy."
"I love you too Aimie. So much." She smiled up at me. She had her head on my shoulder, and I wrapped an arm around her. We had our packs back behind us, but we didn't care if anyone took them. Well, I kinda did, my anxiety medications were in there. I have a huge fear of thunderstorms. I know that the likelihood of them hurting me, or even Addy, is slim to none. I think you're more likely to win the lottery than be struck by lightning and die.
We waited till the rain died down, and then we looked a the map thing we were given. "Well," she started, "We could go down this trail. It leads to a creek, and there's a tunnel."
"Secret tunnel?"
"Yes, secret tunnel. Not through the mountains, but a secret tunnel nonetheless. "
"I'm sold."
"Great," she stood up. I followed suit, and we packed everything back up before we headed out from under the bridge's shelter.
We made it there with no mishaps. And so I screamed the secret tunnel song into the tunnel. She laughed. It was music. But we made it to the creek, and I just thought she was going to dangle her feet in as she removed her boots. Well, when she pulled out a bug catching kit, I knew she was going to go in. So of course I followed. While we played in the creek, it started to pour again. We hurried to put our shoes back on, but it wasn't working. So, we ran , and didn't stop until the tunnel.
It was a tag team effort to put her shoes on, and then I just slipped mine on. I felt her leave kisses on my neck. But she started to fade away as she trailed higher to my face. I opened my eyes- "mrghh". It was just a dream. I didn't want it to just be a dream. I wanted to be with her. Always, even if it was in a dream. She was my dream girl. I didn't want anyone else. I just wanted her.
"Good morning love." She whispered to me.
I let out another grumble, and buried my head into her. I didn't want to get up. I wanted to keep dreaming. It was fun. I liked that dream. But, I knew reality's better than dreams, but that was fun.
"C'mon love, we need to wake up. I have to work, and we have to do something today, before the show, right?" She reminded me. Oh fuck, she remembered. I forgot about picking up Wolfie. I would've remembered if I'd have looked at my phone because I put it on my calendar last night.
"Yeah," I sighed. I moved from being in her neck, which was super warm, to resting on her forehead. Well like we were both on our sides, but facing each other, so yeah- okay you get it.
"G'morning baby."
"Mornin-" I kissed her softly. I just missed her kiss. It only had to be a few hours, even a few minutes and I missed her. It wasn't hard. It's like no matter how much time I get with her, I always want more. She was the same. We craved each other like sunflowers craved the sun, always turning towards it. If they didn't have the sun, they turned towards each other. And Six for us was that. If we weren't focused on eachother, it was the show. It was nice to know that we could be apart as long as there was the show, because who knows, we might go on tour or something that prevents us from being together for a few weeks. Maybe she goes to visit her family or something, but otherwise we liked being together. After a minute or so, she pulled away.
