Chapter 11

Willa was gone all night and Tony didnt even notice he was busy fixing his suit more. Though he hadnt seen her all day and he just thought maybe she went out to see Pepper or something.

Pepper was upstairs since this morning and Tony didnt even know. She was worried as to she hadnt seen Willa yet so she decided to go check with Tony and find out where then teen went.

Back at work on his suit was all he could do. Pepper walked in and saw him working on his suit.

"Hey you busy? You mind if I send you on an errand?" Tony asks when he sees Pepper.

"Go to my office and hack into the mainframe and your going to retrieve all the recent shipping manifest. This is a lock chip. This will get you in." Tony says and hands it to her.

"And what do you plan to do with this information if I bring it back here?" Pepper asks.

"Same deal. If their dealing under the table Im gonna find my weapons and destroy them." Tony says.

"Is that so.... Then..  Then I quit." Pepper says and placed the drive back on the desk and began to walk out.

"You stood by my side all these years as I reaped the benefits of destruction. Now that Im trying to do something and protect the people you just gonna walk out?" Tony questions.

"You're going to kill yourself Tony. I shouldnt be apart of it. What about your daughter..." Pepper says, but was cut off.

"I shouldnt be alive, unless it was for a reason. Willa is one of those reasons, but Im not crazy Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do and I know in my heart its right." Tony says.

Pepper walked back over to the desk and grabbed up the flash drive and Tony looked at her.

"You're guys are all I have too you know." Pepper says.

She went to walk out when she realized something the real reason she went down there.

"Where's Willa?" Pepper asks.

"I.. She.. She wasnt with you upstairs?" Tony asks.

"No and she isnt down here... Tony..." Pepper says.

"Just go and get what I asked for. Im sure Willa is at the park or something." Tony says.

Neither of them believe what Tony said, but Pepper left anyway. All they could think was about was Willa now.

(Stark Industries)

Pepper entered Tony's office and went through his computer to get just what Tony wanted. She found things that she didnt even know she would find.

Like the project for sector 16 and a video of a kidnapped Tony Stark.

"So, What are we going to do about this?" Obadiah asks entering the office.

He walked over to the cart of drinks as Pepper watched him carefully. She hid the flash drive.

"I know what your going through Pepper." Obadiah says.

The drive was done copying so Pepper closed the screen as Obadiah came closer to her to see what she was doing.

"I was so happy when he came home. It was like he came back from the dead. Now I realized Tony never really came home did he? He left apart of himself in that cave. Breaks my heart for him and... For Willa she shouldnt of had to go through that." Obadiah says.

"Well he is a complicated person. He's been through alot and I think he'll be alright and Willa she'll be just fine. You know now that he's home." Pepper says.

"You are a very rare woman. Tony doesnt know how lucky he is." Obadiah says.

"Thank you. Thanks." Pepper says getting up and grabs everything she needs.

"I better get back there." Pepper says as she begins to walk away.

"Is that today's paper?" Obadiah asks.

"Yes." Pepper says and faces him.

"Do you mind? The puzzle." Obadiah says.

"Not at all." Pepper says and hands it to him.

"Take care... And tell Willa, hi for me." Obadiah says.

Pepper walked away quickly. Obadiah went to Tony's computer and saw what she had done. He went to go after her and she knew he would, lucky for her she had someone who she could trust waiting.

"Miss.Potts, we had an appointment. Did you forget about our appointment?" Phil asks.

"Nope, right now come with me." Pepper says.

"Right now?" Phil asks getting up.

"Yeah walk with me. Im going to give you the meeting of your life. Your office." Pepper says and they walked out.

(Down in Sector 16)

No one knew how to do what Obadiah wanted. They didnt know how to make the Arc Reactor smaller.

"Mr.Stane the technology doesnt exist." William says.

"William this is the technology. I simply asked you to make it smaller." Obadiah says.

"Thats what we are trying to do, but its impossible." William says.

"Tony Stark was about to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps!" Obadiah yells.

"Well, Im sorry. Im not Tony Stark." William says.

(Back Tony's)

"Kid, where are you? Come on JARVIS anything?" Tony asks.

"Im sorry Sir, but no. Miss.Willa doesnt seem to be anywhere. Well anywhere I can scan at at least." JARVIS says.

Tony's phone then went off and he saw it was Pepper. He sent her away at day light and now its dark. Maybe she found Willa. As he went to answer he heard a high pitch noise and couldnt move.

"Tony? Tony are you there? Hello?" Pepper says over the phone but it was hung up.

Tony couldnt move and someone was helping him lay back. He knew that voice and then he saw the face.

"Ah Tony, when I ordered that hit on you, I was worried I was killing the golden goose." Obadiah says placing some machine on Tony's chest.

"Though it was fate that you survived that. You had one last golden egg to give. You really think just cause you have an idea it belongs to you. Your father, he helped give us the atomic bomb. What kind of a world would it be today if he was as selfish as you?" Obadiah says and yanked the arc reactor out of Tony's chest.

"What a beauty? Look at that. This is your legacy. A new set of weapons with this at the heart." Obadiah says holding up the reactor.

"I wish you could see my prototype its not as conservative as yours... Its too bad you had to involve Pepper in this. I would of preferred she'd live." Obadiah says and stands up.

"Oh and Tony... I think this belongs to you. The one who wore it well... She's out of the way." Obadiah says.

He showed Tony the necklace and placed it on the table. He then walked out leaving Tony there to die. Tony had only three thoughts in his mind. Save Willa, Save Pepper, and Kill Obadiah.
