To whom it may concern,

As you know, my name is Brooke Jackson. Today, April 24th, I decided to jump into oncoming traffic and get hit by a car in order to die.

You reading this now, just so happen to be the person driving in the car that hit me. For this I am sorry. I'm sorry that you have been thrown into my life so suddenly like this, and I am sorry if I have ruined yours now.

To you I give these ten letters, and whatever cash I have left, which I have placed inside an envelope as well.

You may use my money to pay for any damages to your car, it's the least I can do after jumping in front of you.

Anyways, in case you're wondering why I would do something as weird and crazy as writing letters to someone I don't know, well I figured it was a better way to say goodbye than just suddenly disappearing.

You see, if I had just killed myself alone in my dorm room, well then no one would find me for a long time. I don't have any friends and I don't talk to my family. No one would even miss me, and I think that's what I fear the most.

Not being missed.

So, if you'll let me, I want to tell you about myself. I want you to get to know me and learn about this stupid kid who just so happened to jump in front of your car one night.

It might sound crazy, but it's all I want as a last dying wish, to be remembered.

This might not be easy, but if I could make it through all the shit I did for this long, then you can read my ten letters and learn my life's story.

I can't know what exactly will happen when I finally go through with this, but I can tell you that reading these won't be as hard on you as my death probably was.

If you've read this far, then thank you. Thank you for at least giving me that.

I hope you consider my request of you and that you will read the other letters I have provided. If not, well I can't force you to.

This is entirely up to you, but I do hope that you will read through them. For my sake at least.

Sincerely,
Brooke
