If I had known that today would end the way it did, I would have stayed at home. I would much rather someone else deal with this burden that has suddenly been dropped onto my shoulders.
My entire body is still shaking, my fingers unable to even hold a glass of water without it almost spilling over.
It feels as if all eyes are on me, like every single person in this suffocating room is staring at my shaking form.
I don't want to be seen right now, I want to disappear, I want to go home and act like none of this ever happened.
"Mr. Black?" They have no face, I can't make out any features. "I'm sorry, but he didn't make it."

"You're cheating that's no fair." Ashton says as she whacks Asa on the shoulder.
He grins down at her as the tv in front of them loads the leaderboard, Asa's name in first place while Ashtons is in fifth.
They've been playing Mario cart for about an hour now. Originally we we're all supposed to be studying but instead decided to play video games.
"Sam It's your turn." Asa says after him and Ashton are done bickering. The two of them need to get together already, their sexual tension is suffocating.
I take a sip of my coke as Asa comes to sit next to me, trading places with Sam who's now sitting next to Ashton on the floor.
The four of us have been pretty good friends since we all started college. I became friends with Asa through class and our shared interest in football, whereas Sam and Ashton became good friends by being roommates in the dorms. Sam and Asa are cousins which is how our small group of four ended up coming together.
Asa and I watch the two girls struggle to make it through the course, laughing every now and then when one of them falls over the edge.
"Hey, my frat house is throwing a party tomorrow. You should come down, apparently there's going to be a lot of hot girls coming." Asa tells me, directing my attention away from the tv.
"I don't have time for girls Ace. I barely have time for my job."
He waves me off with a roll of his eyes. "That's just an excuse. You have time you just won't admit it." He says.
"You can think whatever you want. Besides, I enjoy our small group parties over large ones."
"Wait what party?" We hear Ash ask.
The two of us turn our heads to the girls to find them staring at us with stern faces. "Why were we not invited?" Sam asks her cousin.
He hesitates to answer, his eyes shifting towards Ash for a split second. "I didn't want you two to be around my frat brothers. They can get real handsy when their drunk."
What a lie. He just doesn't want Ashton around them cuz he's scared someone else will snatch her up for the night.
"We're not little kids Asa. We can take care of ourselves." Ash says with a roll of her eyes. "We're going now and you can't stop us."
