------------------------------

Wish I may, wish I might, find my one true love tonight. Do you think that it could be you?

For as long as he could remember, looking at you struck something dangerous inside of Jason. He had always had a tendency to be a bit more violent than his brothers. Typically this behavior appeared in Jason when he felt threatened or on edge. Yet, when he felt on edge with you he didn't get the urge to punch something. Instead, he felt something stir in his chest. His inner animal was fiercely protective of you.

So for now he watched you from a distance. A guardian angel, always watching over you.

If I pray really tight, get into a fake bar fight. While I'm walking down the avenue

Immediately he noticed you, alone at the bar. Smoothing out his jacket, he ignored the twinge of nervousness and took a seat next to you. The two of you made polite conversation and you went to get a table in a much quieter area while he ordered the two of you drinks. He discreetly placed a digestible yet tasteless tracker into your drink. It fed your location into his phone and computer.

It was a slip up on your part. Something that had been drilled into you by everyone that you knew. Never leave your drink unattended at a party or bar. And you basically handed your drink into the hands of a stranger. A hot stranger at that, still. You sat with sweaty palms until the man returned and thankfully your drank did not taste weird.

If I lay really quiet, I know that what I do isn't right. I can't stop what I love to do

Jason almost felt bad for stalking you. But his need to protect you overwhelmed any guilt he had. That night at the bar, you exchanged numbers before both heading home. You hung out a few times in the past two weeks. Mostly it was Jason purposefully "coming across" you. He learned a lot about you from deep research. You were a local artist. You're paintings were beautiful and captivating. Something that you and your art had in common. You were also the nicest most innocent person he had ever had the pleasure of meeting.

So Jason felt bad. But he couldn't stop. You were his drug of choice and he loved the high. You were more addicting than any kind of heroine could ever hope to be. And no matter what price he had to pay, Jason was going to get his fix.

So I murder love in the night. Watching them fall, One by one they fight. Do you think you'll love me too?

The first time he killed someone for you was late one night. You were returning home from the studio on your usual path. It was later than your customary time, but you just felt like you had to finish that last piece before your inspiration ran out, something he had come to understand about you. So he followed alongside you on the opposite side of the street, keeping a close eye on you. Then he heard you scream.

The very sound made him want to blow up the whole city. Diverting his focus back to you, he had something to channel his anger into. Some entitled pricks thought they could drag you into an alley and have their way with you. He would have to teach them not to touch his stuff. The moment you were clear from the scene, he let his inner monster loose.

Baby I'm a sociopath, sweet serial killer

When you flicked on the news the morning following your attack, you almost wished you hadn't. In the exact alleyway in which you had been attacked and your mystery man saved you, a gruesome crime scene remained. "Viewer discretion is advised. Early this morning, a GCPD Patrol came upon a very brutal sight in an alleyway just off of Whiteworth Street. Now, GCPD suspect this is once again a new serial killer come to Gotham. His patterns are unfamiliar and this message was left at the crime scene-" You paused the news program to get a closer look.
