US AGAINST THE WORLD

What do you need to get high for? When your baby's so die for? Quit your job let's make a ride for it

After months of debate, here you were. A brand new city with brand new friends. Would you miss Gotham? Of course. But it had to be done. Even your psychiatrist agreed that something so negative with such a large magnitude required extreme action. Like terminating your apartment contract, quitting your job, and moving to Star City. If Gotham was the city of nightmares then Star City was the city of dreams that you never wanna wake up from. Or in your case, the city of sweet escape.

If you want it supersize, I can do that for you, If you want it double fries, I can do that for you

Of course, even sweet escapes had downsides. Yours was working at Harper Club and Casino. You were a dancer/server. It wasn't necessarily the nicest job, but you never stripped or had to take your clothes off. Just wear some slightly revealing outfits, but nothing too extreme. Your coworkers were all kind to you and all loved you and your boss, Roy Harper, was undoubtedly the sweetest man you had ever met.

If you wanna good surprise, I can do that for you, If you won't believe your eyes, I can do that for you

You ignored the man as he yelled catcalls at you. As long as the man didn't touch you, everything would be fine. You swiftly and carefully walked over to a table with a group of three older looking gentlemen. There was one woman at the table who smiled at you. You returned her smile and balanced the tray on one hand so you could unload it with the other. "Three beers, a water, and a large platter of loaded fries with ranch. Anything else I can get y'all?" They stared at you blankly. You released a tight-lipped smile before returning to the bar. Casey usually worked the bar, but she had gone up to perform so for 3 minutes and 47 seconds, it was your shift.

Roy Harper came tumbling down from the steps of his office and waltzed right over to the entrance. Roy Harper was not an Alpha male, so to speak, but his presence demanded respect. So when he came down to personally greet the next customer, it was quite a surprise. One of the large burly men stationed at the entrance opened the door and in walked a man similar in build to Roy. He had the same muscles and the same large biceps but this man was slightly taller than the boss. His hooded sweatshirt hung over his head so you couldn't see his face. Roy smiled apprehensively and led the man swiftly through the club, back up to the office, and out of your sight.

If you want a cola, I can make it colder, If you want a bad girl....Nobody's bolder. And if you want the Queen of New York then you better call me, call me

The moment the door to Roy's office was closed, Jason's hood came off and he hugged his friend. After being on the run from prison for so long, it was nice to see a friendly face. Besides, Jason knew that he would be safe from prosecution in any of Roy Harper's establishments. The pleasantries did not last long however, and the moment they broke the hug, a serious look spread across Jason's face.

If you want some dirty lies, I can do that for you, watch me dance for other guys, I can do that for you, Tell you everything's alright, I can do that for you, Never ever leave your side, I can do that for you

"She's here?" Roy nodded, an unreadable expression on his face. "The description matches a girl we hired a few months ago. Gotham City girl." "Why are you looking at me like that, Harper?" "You could just talk to her,"  Roy took a deep breath and re-positioned his seating.  "I mean, I was in the exact same situation with Nora a few years back, and she was understanding and kind." "Not everyone can be as lucky as you were with Nora, Roy. I fear I might have to go to more... extensive measures to get Y/n."

What do I need to get high for? There ain't no reason to cry for. Quit your job, let's make a life boy, it's us against the world

Your eyes widened and your mouth fell open as you saw his face on the television. "Breaking News here on Star City Picture News, a murderer has escaped federal prison. This man is wanted as a known serial killer and anyone that knows of his whereabouts should-" The television cut off. All of the televisions in the room cut off. You began to hyperventilate and slid down behind the bar, your back pressed to the cabinets.

If you want a cola, I can make it colder. If you want a bad girl, nobody's bolder. And if you want the Queen of New York then you better call me, call me

A loud banging resonated around the room. You quickly gathered yourself and stood up to face the bar, where a man was banging his fist impatiently. You forced out a tight-lipped smile. Trying not to throw up, you ignored how the man eyes you hungrily before a sick smile spread across his face. "Hey there, doll. Get me a scotch on the rocks 'kay?" You grit your teeth and nodded, starting to prepare his drink. As you turned around to get the ice, the man's arm stretched over the bar and his hand grasped your ass.

Lights, lights, sights, sights. Buy me Coca Cola in the middle of the night. Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ahLights, lights, sights, sights. Buy me Coca Cola in the middle of the night. Ah-ah, ah-ah

Just your luck, as the man's grip settled on your rump, Mr. Harper and his friend were coming down the stairs. The mystery man stormed over to the scum still holding onto you. Frozen, and in shock, you watched him pick the asshole up by his collar and slam him harshly onto the bar top. Still, you couldn't see his face. He pulled a 1911 pistol from his waistband and held it under the man's chin. Mr. Harper, who had been calmly standing by during this exchange had now come up behind the man, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Jason... Not here." Your eyes widened at the name. Jason. But not your Jason of course. Mr. Harper would never... would he? "He touched her. He touched what's mine. He doesn't deserve mercy." That was his voice. Now it was undeniable, Jason was back. And he was here. Your hyperventilating started up again. Mr. Harper turned to look at you, concern etched on his face. You looked at him and then at Jason before sprinting at full speed out of the club.

If you want a cola, I can make it colder. If you want a bad girl, nobody's bolder. And if you want the Queen of New York then you better call me, call me

The moment you pulled up to your house, you began making a list of the things you could fit into the back of your car. You didn't even turn your car off. Instead, you sped into the house where you gathered your most valuables and packed the three tubs into your car. Two weeks of clothes, all of your hygiene products and a couple other odds and ends. Pulling out of your driveway, you accelerated down the street, no looking back.

If you want a cola, I can make it colder. If you want a bad girl, nobody's bolder. And if you want the Queen of New York then you better call me, call me

Now you've been here in Coast City for four weeks. You were settling back down into a new place, leaving Star City, Gotham City, and Jason, behind. You smiled at the nerdy boy across from you. "So... Tim, tell me what brings you to Coast City?" The man gave you a soft smirk and glanced behind your figure. His eyes quickly diverted back to yours.

"Believe it or not, I'm here for my brother."
