He wouldn't do that, would he?Deliah in media
August 28, 2019
As Malorie walked into Ms. Rainez's art studio a smile painted onto her face. Her sharp gold eyeliner contrasted her maroon lipstick which popped against her amber-colored skin. Malorie sat at her assigned lab table, smiling at Anton, Zorah, and Delilah. She didn't get to know them, they were Myles's group but she got to know them after he disappeared. Delilah makes her way to Malorie's side of the table into her personal space and leans in close to her ear
"After school behind the game shop, we'll all be there. We gotta talk"
Deliah hugs Malorie and crams a note into Malorie's bra and chuckles as Malorie looks flustered.
"Chill out hun you know you like it...
Deliah leans in close again and whispers lowly " Why wouldn't you admit it you like me."
Deliah leans back and grins like a Cheshire cat as she swept her fiery red hair behind her shoulder and sits back in her seat.
Malorie glances at the note Deliah wrote
"Meet me in the male's bathroom we'll start there looking in the janitors closet"
Anton laughs to himself as he reaches for his notebook and signals to the group that the teacher is now talking.
Malorie sighs as she raises her hand
"Uh, Miss Raines could I go to the restroom?"
Ms.Rainez lets out a sigh and mumbles
"Yes, I suppose you can."
Malorie rises from her seat and slips out the door, she walks down the halls looking around to make sure no one's watching before slipping an out of order note on the door before going into the male's restroom. Malorie hears the sound of footsteps. The door opens revealing a rather sweaty Deliah.
Malorie looks over Deliah worriedly
"You good?"
"Yeah we got 20 minutes"
Deliah jingles the keys she swiped from the janitor, she tosses the keys and a screwdriver she probably stole to Mal while she checks all of the stalls.
Malorie unlocks the janitor's closet as she looks at Del "give me a hand yeah?"
Deliah smirks
"always for you".
Deliah steadied the moping cart to stand on.
Myles always hides shit he couldn't keep at home in here like extra chest binders after mom would toss them out when she found them.
Malorie pushes the ceiling panel over as she peeks her head up into the ceiling, grabbing Myles's big blue backpack.
Hopping off the moping cart she opens the bag spilling the contents onto the hard marble floor.
Malorie's jaw almost hits the floor when she does as she picks up a bag of cash and a couple of small baggies of a white substance and a couple of vials of a red liquid along with a couple of chest binders and a small blue flip phone.
"Holy shit Del..he wouldn't sell would he...
Malorie's eyes gloss over as Delilah pulls mal into her arms, reaching down to hold her hand.
No words leave Deliah's mouth in response.
"He could be dead del. I'm sure he had a good reason...right?"
Deliah looks at the bag of money and opens the bag picking up a couple of stacks breaking the seal on them and starting to count it, taking about five minutes to do so, the only sound coming from mal was sniffles.
"Mal I don't fucking know what Myles was up to but that's three thousand fucking dollars you don't get that working at the god damn cinema."
Malorie zips up the bag and hands it to deliah.
"Ditch and bury it near the oak wood creek, at the big abandoned amusement park where Myles came out. No one ever goes near the teacups."
Deliah shakily sighs
"O-okay I'll go there now cover for me yeah?"
"I got you"
Malorie smiles at Deliah and leans up kisses her cheek as she lets go of her hand and climbs back on top of the cart to close the ceiling panel and then the two sneak out of the bathroom hand in hand.
Walking back into class Malorie smiles at Ms. Rainez when she sits back at her desk.
Malorie looks at Anton and whispers
"Would you mind if I copied you when you finish"
Anton nods while he finishes writing and hands Malorie his notes.
Malorie glances at the drawing on it and raises an eyebrow at Anton
" I'm guessing you got a crush"
Malorie giggles after her statement at Anton blushing
"He'll never like me but a boy can dream right".
Malorie tries to stifle a laugh
" that's a little ironic with him you know..him being such a homophobic ass wipe."
They could see Zorah nod after Malorie calls Lukas a homophobic ass wipe.
Anton takes his notes back frowning as malorie finishes copying them as he packs his bags.
"He's not that bad guys"
Zorah stares into Anton's eyes squinting at him.
"You don't believe me huh?"
Zorah shakes her head no and you could almost see her do a silent laugh as Anton frowns deeper.
"Fine whatever but one-day I'm telling you guys he's gonna come out and admit he fucking likes me".
Zorah lets a little giggle escapes her mouth as Anton huffs.
The bell rings as Anton and Malorie head towards the door while Zorah stays behind for a while.
Malorie looks back at Zorah one last time confused but ignores it.
The day goes on swiftly after Mr.Jones's history class Malorie feels exhausted and texts Nicholas
" I'm outside dude where's your bike?"
Nicholas texts back almost immediately
"Pulling up sunshine be there in a sec."
Malorie looks up from her phone to see Nicholas
Pulling up in his Harley-Davidson, the one his dad and he fixed up during summer.
Nicholas hands her his passenger helmet smiling at her. Malorie slides the helmet on and positions herself on the bike with her head on his shoulder and her arms around his waist. Nicholas revs the gas as they take off to Rolin park street to mal's house. Malorie starts humming as Nicholas pulls up to her driveway. They sit in silence staring at Malorie's house.
"I better go before my mom swears we're sleeping together."
"Maybe you should make her think that you know the whole I'm not straight thing didn't work out for Myles and it might not work out for you."
"You know what comes on in maybe she'll think we're dating."
Nicholas laughs and puts his arm around Malorie's neck as they walk up to the door.
Malorie opens the door with her key.
"Mom I have someone I want you to meet. Mom this is my boyfriend, Nicholas"
Nicholas mumbles under his breath
"If weren't both gay as hell"
Malorie nudges him in the ribs and laces their fingers together as they walk near the kitchen table.
" I thought I would bring him to dinner to meet you all".
Malorie's mom rolls her eyes and a slight scoff escapes her mouth, mixing the stew in the big red pot.
"Nice to meet you I'm Malorie's mother, you may call me Julie. Why don't you sit dinner will be done in a second"
