Deliah wakes up not being able to see anything due to pitch-blackness all around her and what she thought was a blindfold on her eyes. The thumping in her head didn't help her senses. She tried to remember the last thing she did her mind came up empty. She struggled to move her hands, realizing she was tied with something. Trying to curl into a ball inside the small space she was cramped in. She struggled to bring her hands to her mouth to chew into the rope but her hands just couldn't reach her mouth. Deliah's body is shaken and rolled around inside the space she's in. From the rocking and shaking, she could tell she was in someone's car trunk right now. Deliah felt the car stop and felt one of the passenger doors slam. She'd just try to escape wherever they were taking her. She began to wonder to herself if this was when she'll die, she didn't even get to tell Malorie she liked her. She could hear people around but dared not to scream, maybe the person had a gun or something not worth it, plus not being able to see doesn't help her escape. The car starts up again and continues driving to some unknown destination. It continued like that for some time, Deliah could feel her eyes close as the exhaustion set in. Deliah doesn't know how long she slept not having a reference point for time. She knew they wouldn't leave her phone with her after doubting herself she tried to check to realize there was no point because they did take it. She had tried to move her legs feeling that those were tied up too.
Deliah's thoughts begin to turn into her memories of Malorie and how good her life was with her in it. Without mal, there's no point to it all. She'd help mal find Myles if it was the last thing she does. Even if she has to die to find out. She swallowed all of her salivae nervously as she felt the weight in the front of the car shift signaling there was more than one person in the car. She closed her eyes pretending to be asleep just in case they opened the trunk. Deliah didn't really like religion but if she did she'd sure be praying to something right now.  Deliah heard the trunk click as the light hits her face, she hears a throaty grumbled voice speak
" Get her out Oscar."
as she feels someone jerk at her body before lifting her out of the trunk. Deliah bravely decides to open her eyes as she did her eyes are immediately covered with something soft and silky. Deliah groans they at least know what they're doing. She feels her body being carried over something hard but she could feel a hand against her back. She hears a door open as she is placed on her now untied feet. She is pushed roughly into the small space as her eyes are uncovered as she turns around the door to the tiny room is locked. She looks up at the dirty ceiling seeing all kinds of dirt and grime stuck to the door and the slightly slippery floor.
Her eyes water and gloss up despite her protests, she usually wouldn't cry even if she was alone but her heart ached right now for mal, for herself, and Myles. She felt the tears slide down her face trying to suck them back in. She was trying to be strong that's what her mother taught her after all. Deliah stands up sniffling and shoves her body against the door roughly even though she groans in pain, she continues because she has to get out. She doesn't have time to be kidnapped, she needs to find Myles, she has to confess to Mal, and she has to say goodbye to her dad. Deliah hadn't realized she had bruised her side and arm. Deliah lets out an anger-filled scream as she runs into the door at full force screaming a war cry as she does so. The last thing she remembers is her body aching as the door opens and someone bends down to her and whispers.
"Silly girl...tsk tsk you've caused quite a commotion but it's expected on your first day. It is almost time for your christening you can't be all bruised up.
"Oscar get her to the infirmary!"
Oscar, a very well-built man with a strong and sturdy frame walks over and picks her up. He takes her to a very well-kept infirmary and carries her inside. Deliah awakens to a sweet warm sun pouring down on her. She squints at the sunlight trying to get used to the brightness. The nurse comes in and examines her.
"How do you feel?"
She takes a few moments to answer
fine.
"How long was I out?"
"Since you ran headfirst into the door. You've been unconscious for a day."
Deliah looks up at the nurse and winces. She had a concussion and two broken ribs.
"Ouch!"
She says through clenched teeth, She is about to get up when the nurse holds her back gently.
"Your head injury is bad enough. Just stay still for a while."
She lets out a loud groan and then closes her eyes. The nurse gives her some tea and tells her to sip it slowly. Deliah takes it down in small sips. Just then the man with the sickening grin walks in. As everything goes black and her head slumps onto the pillow.
