41 | The Battle of Familiars (I)

My friends filled me up with the information while I was with Calixus, making him calm, and bases on their reports, Kierra was also frustrated from what happened in her match.

Mula sa kanila ay pinagtulungan ng ibang eskwelahan talagang nagsama-sama ito na talunin ang Lockéhart at ibigay ang puntos sa Silverleaf University na muling nanalo.

And because of that, what Kaellus mentioned echoed in my mind. They woke up the sleeping beasts. . . I was wrong to think that it's only Calixus since he was the one who became furious yesterday.

My eyes widened when I recognized them. The Acid girl is with the woman who waved at us!

I'm Dexie and this woman beside me is Yuri!” Masiglang pakilala nito sa kasama kaya't nagpakilala rin kami.

Mabilis kaming naupo nang magsalita ang MC. She's briefing us about the current score which the Silverleaf is leading, and about the last and most awaited one, which is the Familiar Calling.

Based on her, if the last game is going to end early, we will start right away. This one doesn't have a time limit so unless everyone's down and only one school is standing in victory, that's when they'll call it off.

“Those two schools are monsters. They really are rivals in terms of being the best school!” A whisper that didn't escape my ears.

Best school? Silverleaf played dirty though. But I kept my mouth shut.

“There's no rule aside from don't kill. You could freely use everything, especially your familiars because this is the final game and the most awaited one! And when it's our Special Section, no one wore a smile on their face aside from the Senior's leader, who's waving his hand, making the atmosphere calm from how tense his companions are.

Calixus' face is dark as he walks proudly as if his pride wasn't stumped, Xavier looks so serious while Kaellus doesn't care, with his hands on his pockets, looking so sleepy at the arena below.

“Hey, Dexie right? Bakit 15 lang sila, compared sa ibang kalaban na saktong 25?” I overheard Shinoa asked. Dapat ay 25 sa bawat grupo ngunit silang naglalakad na kinse lamang ay ang dahilan ng pag angat ng tanong sa mga nakapaligid sa amin.

Dexie chuckled. “They chose the strongest and has the most devastating abilities, that's why.”

I nodded my head.
