23 | Preliminaries (I)

Part of Tito Xander's punishment, community service again. This time, we were ordered to clean the comfort room of every department, including Elementary and Preparatory. Truth to be told, it was hell! Just by imagining the floating ghost I saw inside the toilet. . . gross! Kids don't know how to flush, huh?

“Hey, wake up!” Boses ni Mika ang nangibabaw sa aking pandinig ngunit hindi ako kumilos, kundi, mas niyakap ang aking unan at tumalikod sa kanya. I'm still sleepy and my body is aching all over, I need more sleep to recover.

“Nixon's scent is all over her, Mika. Ano kayang ginawa nila? What do you think?” My forehead creased hearing Shinoa with her Shrek thinking that I could imagine her grinning from the tone of her voice.

Hindi ako nakatiis at buksan ko ang aking mga mata wt mabilis na umupo, sinamaan sila ng tingin. Both of them are wearing their training outfit— dark tunics with pads on the chest to prevent getting harmed by their opponents, straps on their waist to keep their clothes still, and dark-colored pants which suit their upper clothing. Both of them are in a ponytail and are looking ready for our preliminaries.

Nang maalala na naghihintay ito ng aking sagot ay nagsalita ako.

“We just trained just like what he said,” wika ko habang nakahawak sa aking ulo nang maramdaman ang pagkirot noon. My head is aching so bad. Siguro dahil sa naputol na pagtulog, biglaang pag-upo o dahil siguro sa nangyari kahapon.

“Talaga ba?” Shinoa said teasingly and chuckled. Dahil doon ay mas sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.

“Oh, someone woke up from the wrong side of bed. Tara na, Shi, at gising naman na sya. Baka mamaya ay bigla nalang tayong awayin,” ani Mika at mabilis na hinila si Shinoa paalis ng aking kwarto— na hindi ko alam kung paano sila nakapasok.

I sighed heavily before lifting my body and started heading to my bathroom to take a bath.

I just hope this day turns good after all.

My every muscle is aching, maybe because of how hard Kaellus trained me yesterday because truth to be told, he's more like a terror professor than a friend's brother!

He told me that he wants to see my abilities to know what he'll teach me. Kahit na alam kong alam nito ang case ko at nakita na nya ang nangyari sa akin. He said he wants me to surpass my limit by using my ability so I did.

I did my best.

However, freaking blood lost that I lost in our duel!

I sighed heavily once I'm inside my bathroom. The bright tiles welcome me as my hand brushes my robe to undress, heading towards my bathtub with petals floating on it.

What's done is done.

After all, I surpassed my limit even a little. And that's enough already.

Paglabas ko ay wala na ang dalawa, ngunit nakalatag na ang aking isusuot sa aking kama. Nilapitan ko ito at kinuha.

With dark pants and a brown crop top tunic which could show my tummy once I moved too much, is the first thing that caught my eye when I was looking for something to wear. Wearing a sports bra underneath and a leather booth to protect my feet, I am ready to go.

Huminga ako nang malalim at binuksan ang pintuan ng aking kuwarto, nagsimulang maglakad paalis at tanging tunog lamang ng aking sapatos ang maririnig.

With a thought in my mind that this time, I'll be acing this.

“Do you think we'll pass to become one of the Specials?” Ani Mika nang makarating ako sa kanilang pwesto. There's a vacant between those two which is clearly for me, that I walked towards that place while Shinoa answered her question.
