"He's such a dick. I mean come on I stayed up all night writing that essay." Grayson practically screams as I walk up to him and Maggie, my best friend since freshman year.
" Oh what're you going on about?" I say not really caring.
" Davis gave me a D- on the European History essay." He says.
"Hm," I'm not paying attention which pisses him off enough to punch me in the shoulder.
" Gray stop, she's preoccupied with all that attention from Jax" Maggie, my best friend says with a laugh in her voice.
" Ugh don't bring it up." I pley. Jax Heyward has been trying to get me to go out with him for weeks now. He's the most popular guy in the senior class and also the biggest jerk I've ever met. It's not like he's unattractive don't get me wrong, it's just I'm not looking for a relationship right now. We're graduating in a month, I don't need a dick of a boyfriend dragging me to parties just for him to run off with the other dicks of Green Bay High. We walk up to our normal table in the cafeteria with Laruen already sitting there with her lunch tray.
" Ugh seriously guys can you not be all over each other for five minutes?" she says looking at my side. I follow her gaze to see Maggie and Grayson holding hands and walking side by side. They've been a couple since freshman year, which is exactly the time me and Grayson stopped being best friends. Me and Grayson were best friends our entire life but then freshman year came around and started dating Maggie and became too busy to even spare me a second of his time. It's times like these where I miss my best friend but then I think about how happy he makes Mags and then I feel guilty. "At least if you're going to show affection don't do it in the cafeteria I need to eat" I say to them from my spot at the table.
"Oh piss off Jamie."Grayson says from Maggie's side.
" Why don't you stop cuddling up with my best friend in the cafeteria." I rely back, bitterly.
" Will you two just stop it already, we're all bored of it." Laruen says from across the table. Grayson and I haven't seen eye to eye for a while. Maybe it's because he's dating my best friend, or maybe it's because he's just a different person. Whatever it is, we're not the same people we used to be.
