No Man is an Island

No man Is an island,

There are limits to the sand

Go learn about yourself

And learn to lend a helping hand

You don't want to be in pain,

So you decide to make your own way

Don't be surprised

By how steep the price is that you've got to pay

Sorry this poem can't bring you closer to the things that you never had

to comfort you in the moments you were lonely and sad

just know that I'm always smiling

and my goal is to make you glad

for you are like my son,

And I will always be your dad

Don't be fooled by the jokes and the jesters that you see

There is a gulf of wisdom linking many things from you to me

I'm just a humble author if that isn't hard to believe

Simply writing words of life's wonders revealing all there is to see

Now human beings are in a perpetual state of violence

So I want to travel the world in search of newfound knowledge

So this will be my final poem

One you can always reminisce

Please don't be sad

For writing words doesn't come without a risk

Now read the words in this comforting poem

And try to understand

That this world is a tactician

But I have created my own plan

This is not goodbye,

For you will always be by my side

Whether it is in person

Or when I'm walking in strides

Now tie your shoes

One shoelace at a time

And remember that this world

Can be so divine at times

So stand up on your feet,

And watch from underneath

For I am always watching

And when you cry, I weep

So take that first step and keep going,

Until the moment you lose your way

And then look at this piece of paper

To find the light shining towards a new day
