Chapter 12 - Potion

Beast Boy -

"Ok students, I need everyone to sit at their desks at the front of the class so I can do attendance and then we will move to the back of the class for training." Miss. Smoak said to the class loud enough for everyone to hear. There was a drink on everyone's desks that had a purple tint to it but clear like water. When everyone was seated, Miss. Smoak glanced over the class. "As you can all see, there is a drink on everyone's table that will remove any powers or advantages you may have. It may even change some of your features to make you look human. It will not hurt, but I've been told that the more complex your powers are it may be uncomfortable for a brief moment like a stomachache." She said while checking students off on her attendance. She looks up at the class, "Drink up".

I look around and see some people playing around with it in the bottle or shaking it. I open it up and down it as quickly as I can, not wanting to think about it or stall. I feel my stomach turn for a minute but then it's gone. I look around as some people take it down or some only sip at it. I look over to Cyborg, and I almost don't believe it. It's like he's a normal person but just with prosthetic limbs, and he doesn't have metal all over. His robot eye is gone and he just has a normal face. He's checking himself out on his phone camera with a huge smile.

"Ahhhhh" Starfire screams as she jumps out of her chair. "Look, look, look, I look glorious!" She plays with her now reddish-orange hair instead of pink. She has very tanned skin that's almost black and orange freckles like what her skin colour was before. She looks good, I'm used to the old Starfire but she looks good nonetheless.

"You look beautiful Star" Robin says but Star doesn't hear it. She's too focused on her new looks.

I look at the desk beside me and see Raven. Raven's appearance didn't change much but she looks beautiful regardless. Her purple hair is now silky black and her skin is still pale but less grey. She's tapping her forehead as she notices her chakra is gone. She noticed me staring and her jaw drops. "Beast Boy? Is that you?"

I look at her confused "Uhh Raven of course it's me, I mean who else is green." I start laughing but Raven just shakes her head and grabs my hand.

"You're not green anymore Beast Boy, or at least not at the moment." I look down at my hand and freeze.

"I'm... I'm not green." I scramble for my phone in my backpack. I grab it harshly and open my camera. I'm not green, no part of me is green. I have my blue eyes like I did when I was a kid. My hair is brown like my moms was. And my face, god I look exactly like him.

"Who is it that you look like Beast Boy?" I look up startled. Starfire is waiting for an answer and Raven, Cyborg and Robin are staring at me.

"What?" I say automaticity.

Cyborg opens his mouth this time. "You just said 'god I look exactly like him'. Like who man?" I guess I said my thoughts out loud.

I give a weak smile and glance back at my reflection. I then flip my phone and take the case off. A folded piece of paper falls out. I hesitate to pick it up but I do. The second I unfold it the memories rush back. I look back up at my friends and hold out the paper to them. Robin takes it first and looks at it.

"Friend Beast Boy, why are you crying? Did we say the wrong." I wipe my eyes and shake my head with a light smile.

"Your father, you meant you look just like your father." Robin says softly. I nod. Raven looks over Robin's shoulder and looks at the picture. "I know what it feels like to miss them. I lost them too when I was little." Robin looks away sad and scratches the back of his neck. He hands me back my photo and I hide it behind my phone case once again.

I wipe my eyes again and stand up. I put on the best smile I could and clap my hands. "So uhh... who's ready to kick some ass." Starfire shoots her hand up and we all giggle as we forget the moments before.

"Ok I need everyone to pick a sparring partner and get ready on a mat." Miss. Smoak tells the class.

"I pick Raven!" I shout out, back to my old ways. I look over at Raven and she's covering her face out of embarrassment.

"I was going to say you can pick your own partner because I trust you can pick someone on the same skill level as you but I guess I can't." Everyone starts giggling at Miss. Smoaks comment to Beast Boy.

"What, I'm sure I'm a better fighter then Raven." I say out loud again.

"Yo Grass stain, the teacher has our skill records." Cyborg whisperers.

"What does that mean?" I look at Cy to explain.

"Never mind." He looks away.

"You know what Beast Boy, if you want to be partnered up with Raven, then Knock...Yourself...Out." Miss. Smoak said with a weird grin. I give her a thumbs up.

I walk to a mat and wait for Raven to come over. She takes off her sweater and has a sports bra on underneath. I can feel my cheeks heat up a bit and I try to hide it. She ties her hair and walks over to the same mat as me.

"Man, now I really want to see what you look like pinned down." I smirk

"Well then come on over and try." She challenges me. For some reason that makes me feel uneasy but I brush it off. She's probably just really competitive, like me.

Raven comes closer and we get ready. Now that I'm here, I don't want to hurt her. "Wait Raven, I'm starting to change my mind. I don't want to hurt you." Just as I finish my sentence, Raven throws a hard punch. I drop my guard and hold my arm in pain. "WHAT THE HELL, THAT FUC-WOAH!" Raven tried to throw another punch but I managed to miss it.

I put my guard back up since there's no stopping this fight, even though I'm actually kinda scared. She tries to kick me in the side but I catch her leg before impact and pull to make her lose balance. She fixes her footing and we start to walk in circles waiting for the next attack. I try my luck and try to punch her stomach. I landed the hit but felt terrible afterwards. She looks at me and I swear I see flames in her eyes. I backed up trying to get distance away from her. She then runs and jumps at me. She does a fucking karate kick and I go flying back. I get up as quickly as I can holding my stomach. Unfortunately for me, she takes another strike at me. She runs up again and steps on my bent knees and swings around to my back. She wraps her arms around my arms and behind my neck, putting me in a weird lock unable to move. With her leg she kicks the back of my knee making me fall on my face. I groan as I feel the impact on my body. I smack my hand against the mat to show her I give up.

"What happened to pinning me down?" She says as she gets up off of my back. I turn around and moan in pain.

"That's not fair." I complain.

"How is that not fair, it was a fair fight and you lost." She smirks "Don't be a sore loser."

"I am sore! You really hit hard." I lift my upper body with my arms.

"I fight to win." That was her only response as she lowered her hand for me. I take it and get up.

"Well I really need to get better. I got beaten up by two girls in this class already." I say out loud ashamed.

"Which is why you are taking my class Beast Boy, with my help, you will be a great fighter after all the hard work you put in." Miss. Smoak says as she walks up to me.

"Uhhhh hard work, can I just do little to no work." Miss Smoak is glaring at me heavily. "Please?" I say coming out more like a question.

"Raven please go back to the mat and show him hard work." She orders Raven and walks away with a smirk.

"Wait what, no I'm good thank you." I see Raven walking up to me with a scary look on her face. "No Raven, ple-please, w-we don't have to do th-this again." I stutter like mad out of fear. She starts running at me and I scream running away. God please help me, I don't want to die.
